Facebook account spend limit question

I have a 5+ yr old FB account that I haven't used much since the glory days of dating and email submits. I remember back then, when you got a new account, it started by allowing you to spend $50, then $100, then $250 etc etc. Last I remember, this account had a $2K spend limit.

Now when I go into Ads Manager > Billing >
I see: Total Account spend: $xxxxxx of Unlimited.

Unlimited? Is this some default that it goes to now? Or am I now allowed to go way beyond the $2k limit I once had (because it's an aged account?)

Do they still do the $50/100/250/etc graduated spend thing?

This is a mystery with me too, It charged my 14p the other day (I had created a campaign and forgot to pause) but I cant see any daily spent limit. I am sure there will be a upper limited, and I think they are now charging daily no matter what the outstanding balance is.

Or, in other words, if someone gets a new account can they spend $1k on ads their first day? How would they know what their limit is?

Or could I spend $5k tommorow on ads if I wanted? How would I know?
(not that I would - just hypothetically asking)

Facebook now bills like Google AdWords where when you spend up to $750 at once, they bill you. Your account spend is not limited but your daily spend may be limited. If you spend $5k in one day now, you will be billed that day in increments of $750.

OK Thanks, So how can I find out how much I can spend per day, or in what dollar increments I'll be billed?

OK, I think I've got it:

            https://www.facebook.com/help/494368557244384/

            What is a billing threshold?

Your billing threshold determines how often you’re charged for the ads you're running. You have a billing threshold if your ad account is in US dollars and you're using a credit card or PayPal to pay for ads on Facebook. Your payment method will be charged each time you reach a certain billing threshold, and at the end of the month for whatever’s left. The first threshold is $25 and will rise with each successful charge to $50, $250, $500 and $750.

So... if someone has a brand new account (paying by CC) and they blast out a bunch of ads on their first day, when the first $25 is reached in a short while, FB hits the CC on file, and if successful, the ads continue running until they hit $50, $100, etc etc . So , in theory a new account can hit the $750 allowable threshold in just a few hours, after which it will always bill at $750? (unless if I set my spend limit below $750)

            Is that correct?

Your daily limit should be in the billing dashboard.

Unlimited simply means that there's no restriction on the amount you can spend over a lifetime. You can put a limit on this however.

Your daily limit should be in the billing dashboard.

More specifically, where would I find that? I see a "Billing Summary" but nothing listed as a "billing dashboard"

Does the "daily spend limit" even exist anymore?

edit: according to the 2nd reply here:

if you have a billing threshold, you will not have a daily spend limit.

      Is that correct?

OK I'll bump this one more time... according to this:

        Question:
I have an account that has a "daily spend limit" of $1000, but it now has been converted to another label called "billing threshold" and it's set at $25, so does it mean my daily spend limit of $1000 has been lifted by Facebook or I'm still having the ability to spend the $1000 daily? Could someone please help me double confirm this?

        Answer:
That's correct - you now will not have the same daily spend limit imposed upon your account. Instead, you will be charged once you reach your billing threshold, and you should be able to continue advertising as long as the charge is paid successfully.

OK, can anyone triple confirm this? The old "daily spend limit" imposed by FB of $1k or $2k or whatever no longer exists as it was?
