I am sticking with the idea of mastering a traffic source and then moving on to another. So my first focus is youtube traffic. Does anyone have any good material I can read that can help teach me more about building high traffic.

any info is helpful.. thank you

Good thinking on sticking with something until you master it.

In my opinion, YT is about drawing in users through search terms and keywords. You will also need a nice custom thumb if you want them to click your video, there's a lot of competition out there.

You then need to provide some value in your video, it doesn't need to be long but at the very least you must peak interest.

Put annotations in your video that are enticing.

Put the link in the top two lines in your video description.

Ask viewers to subscribe and also go to your website.

Setup a playlist as well, that is great for adding views to your videos which will in turn build up some social proof.

Smart decision mate! YouTube marketing is actually quite simple. The concept is just

    1. Make the video
    2. Rank the video
    3. Organic Traffic to the video
    4. Make money when they click the description link and make a sale or action

You don't really need any good material on YouTube marketing. If you are able to shoot your own videos then you pretty much got Step1 out of the way. If you don't want to shoot your own videos, you can use software or outsource it. A cheap place to go to is fiverr.com

Ranking videos is where you want to study on. I can give you some tips now so you can get started

    1. Keyword in Title
    2. Keyword in Tag. Make sure you have relevant KW as tags as well
    3. Keyword in description. Make sure you also write a description of your video there.
    4. Upload video file with KW in it (even though some say it has no effect, it doesn't take long to do plus it is a lot easier to organize)
    5. Upload a transcript and set it as your caption. This helps YouTube and Google further understand what your video is about

There's a few more like channel authority, playlist etc

    3. Always place a link at the very top of the description box. The viewers can only see the first few lines in your description so you don't really want to put them at the bottom.

    Some random tips:

Make sure you have a call to action if it is a direct affiliate video. If it's for branding purposes, still have a CTA to subscribe or visit your website.

    Thumbails needs to stand out.
    Intro and outro.
    CTA OVerlay..

Ahhh, theres actually a few more thigns but its hard to explain it here

Feel free to ask any specific question and I'll try and answer it then.

You can actually use Youtube Trueview Ads to get traffic. You pay per view. If you do it smart you can run your ads and also have a return on investment by building a list.

You can even get started without spending a dime.
