Facebook Ads : US Likes Price ?

Hi everyone,

I work with Facebook Ads since January 2013 now and my little experience tells me that when you target "cheap" countries like India, you'll get "cheap" results. With these countries, I managed to get a price of 0,01 per like, and I'm totally aware that a US like is far more expensive than that, but it's not a big problem.

In fact, I have launched a new Facebook page to promote me and the services I provide but I would like to target only US people. From your experience, what is a "common" price for a US like ? I know that it really depends on the niche you are targeting. But from now, with my tests, the price seems to be very, very high : more than 0.60€ per like (something like $0.80). So I'm trying to optimize that... Or maybe that it's just the "normal" price for a US like. What is your opinion ?

Thanks!
Axel

Wow... 80 cents? Definitely optimize or kill that campaign.

Anything over .20 MAYBE .30 for USA likes is WAAAY too much... so your targetting could be the problem here. Lots of variables to consider.

The lowest we've been able to get for USA likes was .00 but that was last year... nowadays we seem to average between .01 to .05 on an optimized LIKE campaign.

Since I don't know your niche or exactly what you're doing, shoot for less than .10, maybe .20 cents per like, anymore than that and I'd have to say it's not worth it.

    Hey JCorp,

Thanks for your answer, I will continue to optimize my campaigns. For now, I have stopped this one.

I target people who are interested in web design, web development (Wordpress, jQuery, ...) since that's what I actually do. But that's strange because even if I target only US people with no interest, the cheapest suggested bid is still 0.50€. If I add some interests, the bid increases... So I don't really know how to do. Any suggestion :-) ?
