YouTube Insanity! Watch OUT and Stay Away!
I had heard that YouTube was bad about suddenly banning accounts, but I never thought it would happen to me.
I had a channel with about 10 or so videos I had made. All money related and not at all controversial. For example, ways of avoiding debt, information on investing etc. Never used any material that violated copyright and I thought they were useful and at least reasonably well made.
About 5 months ago, I received notice that one of them was taken down for violating community standards. Was baffled by it, but never bothered to try to get it reinstated.
Then, the other day I received notice that another one was taken down. I appealed the decision, but about 10 hours later, find out my entire account had been closed!
Of course, no explanation given other than saying it violated community guidelines.
I am soooo baffled as to why. My only guess is that some competitor went after my account with false flagging and no human being ever checks when they close accounts.
I was thinking of trying to get it back, but I have some other channels under the same webmaster tools a account, and I am afraid saying anything might get them killed too.
I guess I could just upload them all again under a new account, but I utterly despise YouTube now. I am moving out of affiliate marketing for other reasons, so I do not particularly care about the channel. However, it really pisses me off that someone could do this to me and there is zero justice. The channel would have been good for some residual income too.
I doubt anyone can help me so I just thought I would warn you all. Be VERY wary about putting anything into YouTube videos as you never know when you can lose everything for no reason at all!
