You set up an ads account. Set up your payment method. And set up ads. It's pretty simple. No risk of blocks of any kind.

    What tips do you have?

There are various risks to get blocked with an ads. The 20% text rule is one of them. Also making ads with any naked body parts (even stomach etc.) are also not prohibited. De first 50 times your ads will be rejected by Facebook, but after that period you'll get a last warning. If you ignore that one either, even your business account will be banned for a while. I know it's a little bit far fetched, but it's possible!

For healthy and mature Facebook profiling below things are essential-
    1. Each and every details should be real.
    2. Timeline cover must be there that proves it has a real person profile.
    3. Excessive friend request should not sent to others that can harm your account.
    4. A limited number of pages should be liked otherwise Facebook can band your account.
    5. The last but not the least is profile should be the member of minimum one real group that identifies you a real user.

May be you sent many friend request at a time OR sent Message to many user OR Post a lot of Links OR Accept a lot of friend Request at a time.

You have to keep in you mind that you should not do any suspicious activity, so that peoples think you are not real. Or joint in Facebook only for Promotional works.

Facebook will ban your account at the drop of a hat, and take their sweet time turning it back on (if ever).

Recently, FB has said they want to improve the "user experience" and have started banning accounts that advertise directly to an opt-in page.

So the new process is to send your cold ad traffic to a CONTENT page (must be legitimate content, can't be a simple landing page or auto-play video), pixel them for retargeting, then create another round of ads to the custom audience generated by the retargeting.

It's apparently okay to send warm traffic to an opt-in page.

"Pixel 'em" was sort of a theme at this year's Traffic & Conversion Summit.
