What is the best way to learn how to market on social media sites?

I know how to use social media, but I do not know how to market effectively.


I have been trying to find videos on YouTube to teach me, but none of them are comprehensive enough.


And MOST of them are just trying to sell you another product. I HATE this!

Is it better just to go directly to YouTube or Facebook's "business pages" and watch their videos instead?

    Don't think of social media as a way to sell something. Approach it as a way to communicate with people in your niche and potential customers. Building relationships is its own form of marketing.

    I suggest you find the best marketer or expert on Google.

    "Best internet marketer in 2013".

    I found Terry Dean, he is a good one.

    I am in his list, he teaches about internet marketing for free. He is building relationship so people are going to join his program.

    You can just read his blog - "my marketing coach" - find it on Google - I don't want to put a link as it may be a spam. PM me if you need a link.

    There are so many things about it right there.

    Videos are only for sport - like learn about how to do offensive play in basketball.

    Check out successful social properties in your niche and check out what they are doing.

    Each platform functions differently and they serve specific niches better. Figure out which social platforms work best for your niche.

    I also recommend focusing on one or two at a time until you have traffic and conversions going well. I find it is better to do well on one platform than mediocre on several. One successful social property can send truck loads of traffic... the get it systematized and outsource then start mastering another.

    Open a page to your business on Facebook and invite people to like it. Promote your page and your post with little amount of money for start. Post pictures, articles and new offers every day. post your page on groups and invite the members of the groups to get intrested with the page.
