Goolge+ Communities no traffic?

Hello,
I started to join several g+ communities and shared my business there and see no real traffic coming...I posted to 100+ communities.
when I compare g+ with my posting to 100 fb groups = g+ communities useless?
Is it better to promote a g+ page or start a page?

Anyone has some tips ???

    I have never participated in a Google+ community but my Google+ page has got hundreds of thousands of views somehow. Using a personal page combined with hashtags seems to be the best way to get traffic with Google+. I think you are right about the value of Google+ communities.

    I notice that I get a some traffic from G+ when I interact with the community (+1, share, comment) . But then again, it also depends on the community. A lot of the communities I joined just looked like dumpling places for links.

    You really need to look around to find quality social media groups, a lot are very spammy.

      I never thought I'd say this....but I'm really started to like Google Plus. I've joined several great private groups and get a lot more real engagement than I ever got on Facebook. The deal is, most of these groups I'm in, you can't post affiliate links.....you can just post blog posts, trainings, etc.

      I think posting in spammy Facebook groups is next to useless personally. All the spammy groups....think about it, if someone is posting in those groups its because they don't have money to spend on ads....so how are they going to buy your product/service?

    I agree with some of the posters here, who are getting traffic from content posted.In hangouts, I don't get as much traffic, as I do from generic posting, which always seems to be much better.But as with all things on the net, it is the content that counts, towards getting the traffic you want and also regular posting as well... IME the rest will follow quite smoothly.

    Thanks for the answers, so most have the same experience, these communities are not really working, at least the ones I'm in
    and yes, I have a google+ page with 130 followers and about 30k visits without doing anything beside posting some pics hmmm

    You should create your own Google plus page & begin promoting your page on other social media sites like Facebook & Twitter.

    I have only used Google+ as a SEO play to help with ranking.

    I have never really seen any gains in traffic despite being really
    active with my circles and in other groups. Quite a bummer
    that what could be a real social knockout is mediocre at best.

    Google+ helps to get WHAT ! Still I'm asking to myself. I would say epic fail network by Google and their server is quite slow compared to Facebook and Twitter.

    I use Google+ Pages too but I'm not sure if I should use personal account or pages for my business.
    But google+ Pages get indexed on google instantly.

    Its depend on the niche you are in.I set up a women photo gallery blogspot for testing purposes not profit.I get about 50 clicks a day by posting into one adult G+ community alone .Have a lot of perverts on Google +.

    Google+ communities are very good only for increasing your +1's to your website or video just post an image in any community and in the description put the link you want to get +1's to and bam you get 100's of +1's instantly and it will increase your seprs very high!

    If you do it too much, it will look like spams and you will not get traffic from it.

    I build a page and getting around 57K visits a month for my forum from Google+, just sharing useful information and they will come to you.

    I suggest you should join forums relate to your niche, it will be better.

    Google Plus communities can give you good traffic if the groups you join are relevant to what your business is about! It will also be easier to manage your social profiles if you use tools. Ever heard of Postific?
