Facebook Page or Facebook Group? Which is more effective and appealing?

I am a newbie in the internet marketing and would like to hear some awesome advices from expert people like you. I am just starting my campaign through social media and I am confused on what to use. Do you guys mind providing me some Pros and Cons of Facebook Page that requires 'Like' from people or Facebook Group that can add people in it anytime? Which of the two has more appeal? I hope I can get good suggestions and helpful tips in starting to be as rich and successful as you!
I need to set this up early this July, so I can send some cash to my parents and help them with their expenses.
