Facebook Name Change Questions

I've had a Facebook account for ever, back to when they only allowed college students to use the service.

My problem is that I signed up with a fictitious name....... I want to change it to my proper name...... If I do this will I have to reapply to all the groups that I am currently a part of, or is Facebook smart enough to realize this and leave my memberships in place?

Any additional advice greatly appreciated!

    No you won't! It's pretty easy to change your name. Just go to settings and then edit it. It shouldn't kick you out of any groups that you are in.

        You are free to change your name on Facebook however, right now there's a limit on how many times you change it. Just giving you a heads up. If you go past the limit I think you'd have to contact Facebook to change your name for you.

    if you have above 200 likes you can not change the name

    Once you change your name it would automatically be changed in all the groups you have joined.
