How do people stumble upon facebook groups?

I'm interested in opinions regarding this, how do people usually stumble across the facebook group you just created?

I think this kind of insight will help anyone who is looking to promote a group and get traffic to it

      I know that, but I'm interested to know if there are other ways someone might stumble across the group, either by search engine or search within facebook itself or any other way with no direct involvement on your part,

    People search for groups and the keywords associated with those groups. They are not finding them through Google search. If the group gets large enough then people will start sharing.
