    I don't really see much benefits in following other people. Followers that follows you, are the ones you need.

    Not sure about using a bot to do it, but following people is definitely a solid strategy for Twitter. You will generally get 20 - 30% follow backs when you follow others. And if you follow those in your own niche, the percentage is even higher.

    I agree with the above post. Twitter is 140 character tweet side and not interested as like other social networking site.

      Software action and tools activity for increasing number of followers at twitter is considered as spam and may be few times latter your account going ban permanently but when you try to increase followers manually and become active more and more also sharing few good twits then I am sure your get more followers.
