New YouTube Channel : Hide or Not The Number Of Subscribers?

Hey Warriors,

I'm looking for an advise of someone YouTube experienced who own or owned a YouTube channel who could give me his input about showing or not the number of subscribers when the channel is newly created.

I can only think about one theory about showing a low number of subscribers, which results in two questions:

1. Do you think it impacts other potential subscribers not to subscribe due to a low number of subscribers?

2. Should I hide the number of subscribers on the channel until it grows and then show it?

I'm looking forward for your inputs about this!

Cheers,
Reda

  • 1. Do you think it impacts other potential subscribers not to subscribe due to a low number of subscribers?
    Yes. I think so.

Sometimes it does. This depends on the individual of course as everyone is different. However I would venture to guess that having a low number of subscriber may at times impact the decision of another potential subscriber to sub or not to sub.

    2. Should I hide the number of subscribers on the channel until it grows and then show it?
    Yes. I would.

Some people like to know that they are subscribing to something "popular" "cool" etc. Others don't mind being the first to subscribe.

Overall though, if your numbers are low, I believe it's best to hide them until your channel grows.

I agree with StoltingMediaGroup. Wait until the numbers around 10k before you make it public. I am pulling that number out of my ass, but I think it is a good number and it is the one I use.

People want to subscribe to something that other people like.

    Keep them showing.

That will be a constant reminder that you need to bring them up.

Hide until you have a good number of subscribers because then the numbers would help people to judge that your channel is worth subscribing.

You should show the number of subscribers, Humans have a pack mentality they like to go where the crowd goes or do what the majority is doing. If people see that you have a lot of subscribers they would be more inclined to subscribe to your YouTube channel.
