Pinterest and Banned Accounts !!

Hello Guys,

I worked with "recipes| niche and get traffic from Pinterest.... I do that since few months...

I get traffic from Shared Boards... my strategy in short:

I make several accounts in Pinterest and change the Proxy after making 3-4 account... when the age of account became "3 weeks" i start send Followers by "add me fast" (i send 500 followers for each account) and i start making "Boards" and put some pins on it (Almost 1000 Pins) and all this steps to make the account look "Real" after that i send requests to join to the Boards !

THE PROBLEM IS that Pinterest in recent start "banned" my accounts ! i worked with account 3-5 hours and Pinterest Easily close it !!

For Example I put In 3 accounts (+1000 Pins) and (500 Followers) and start sent requests to join to the boards and after one day the three accounts was closed !! and i was change the IP before open any account !!!

And more EXAMPLE ! I Put in account +500 Followers and +1000 Pins (in several days) and after that the account was work fine without any problem ! and i don't send any requests to join to the boards ! but Pinterest closed this account after 5 days !!!!! without any new activates ..

I know some roles about Pinterest :

*I can't accept more than 3 boards a day !

*I can't open +3 accounts with the same proxy !

PLEASE Help me..

    Hey Ahmed,

I actually had a few YouTube accounts that were recently banned. . . but I am guessing it is because I used Add Me Fast to bring in video likes and views.

Lately, I believe social networks, including Pinterest, have been picking this up, because most of the profiles from Add Me Fast that start following you are not active users.

I would suggest maybe networking instead of traffic exchanges because it seem like social media networks are cracking down on accounts who are connected with traffic exchanges.

    Hope this helps!

    -Josh

What I don't understand is why people think that they'll be banned for creating multiple accounts under a single IP. If I were running pinterest, I would think that people doing things through proxies looks more fishy than several accounts under one IP.

Corporate firewalls quite often use one IP, and there could feasibly be several hundred pinterest accounts under those. Also, hotel wifi is the same. I highly doubt that pinterest would ever ban anyone for logging on with a same IP as many others.

I would skip using tools like add me fast to get followers. I do it both manually, and with my own custom bot that I've created for my personal use. My bot looks just like a web browser to pinterest, and I have tried to randomize a lot of things in order to make my traffic look more legit.

You could probably do this yourself with firefox and imacros.

    • Maybe adding 15 to 20 followers through a network of friends is okay. The point is that if your board can't get followers on its own then the problem is the content of the board.

Think like a regular Pinterest user. Make boards for that user. Talk to someone you know who is a regular user. Talk to as many as you can and find out what they like, find out what they think of your boards and see if they will follow the occasional new board that you build.

I don't try to trick people. I try to build boards that people will enjoy browsing and clicking on a few things. If I can get them to a thin affiliate or MFA page then it is one that they are not surprised to see.

For example, I can not tell you how many times I have explored boards that are "Free DIY Widgets" where nearly all the pinned items are at Etsy and cost money. There is maybe 1 in 4 free items on the page. When I interview users the biggest complaint can be paraphrased as...

"The title was X but very few of the links were really X and I felt frustrated trying to find X on that board."

You've hit the nail right on the head there. I've clicked through several pins to see sites that are not remotely related to the pin, or even worse, a redirect to zazzle or amazon. People will report this as spam.

People will not report you for spam if you have the exact image on your page as you do for your pin and as long as the content on the page is similar to what they would expect by clicking through.

If your page is in any way jarring or odd to the person clicking on your pin, you WILL be reported for spam. If the content and images are in line with what the pin looks like, then you probably will not, even if it's an affiliate offer, since it takes a little effort to report a pin.
