Linkedin vs Facebook?

Hey guys,

I really think that these site are the same for business.

I really don't know why people use Facebook instead of Linkedin.

It is basically the same.

Many people say Linkedin is better for business.

I really need to think about that.

If it is about business, we have sellers.

No buyers.

How do they make money?

I really need your idea about this.

Cheers.

You can have a Forbes 500 company and maybe you want to buy something from another company for your personal use. Linkedin is for Business contacts. You have your profile there and you make contacts there.

    Take care.

Both can be great platforms if you use the right strategies. It's best to stick to one platform first and master it before moving on to the next.

Facebook and LinkedIn are popular social networking websites. The profiles in Facebook are created for the purpose of connecting to friends and family to keep in touch. LinkedIn is more business-oriented, and mainly for professional networking.

    Hey,

I agree that both sites can be used for business. However, Facebook is more of a hangout spot. LinkedIn is more professional.

From my experience, if you look at Facebook more as leveraging your business, then you can truly dominate it. Building social proof for any business is always a good thing. Linked in is more for jobs, professional careers, and networking.

Money is always being made on LinkedIn because of 2 main things, in my opinion. That is networking and relationships. A lot of the time in business, it's not always what you know, but who you know.

That being said, if you focus on building relationships and building a business, simultaneously, then you're on the right path.

    Hope this helps out!

    -Josh

Well I think Facebook is more better option as it gives more better exposure for the promotion of the product in comparison with LinkedIn.

Traffic matters - Facebook is better for me. Though others have better results on linkedin but majority is on Facebook - 1.4 Billion users!

Linkedin is the best when it comes to promoting IM, Business related and Graphic design services but facebook is way more general and you can target any thing you want!

Facebook is for social connection where you can share things with your fans and interact with them. LinkedIn is for business purpose with less social activities.

Social Media doesn't exist to sell products. Do you scroll Facebook with your wallet in your hand? Neither does anyone else. I'm not saying you can't promote or sell products on Social Media, but you have to be very crafty to do it.

Facebook is an excellent platform for ANY business. It will further your online presence and it allows you to provide your customers with great content while throwing in some promotion here and there. If you do it right, you can build a large following on Facebook and your fans will share your content if they find it helpful or valuable in some way.

LinkedIn is more for business to business promotion, or for those wishing to further their careers. It is big on networking and small on selling. However, if you have a lot of helpful content that will help people network or further their careers, then you can make something of it...but it probably won't be money.

Social Media is a traffic tool, not a selling tool. The best way to use it is to build your list, offer deals, and offer great information.
