If you post in Facebook groups for the purpose of getting your product out there (Which everybody seems to do), is that not seen as spamming the group?

thats correct...if you have a make money online method, join the millions of make money online groups and read their rules, most or better all want that you post about your product, offer or method. If you post to a group you are not allowed to post or its not relevant you will be flagged very quick and blocked for 2 weeks...my experience

OK thanks for that. I've seen that there are hundreds of these groups out there. It would be hard top know a good one from a bad one.

That's true, it is really hard but try to figure out the group which is useful to you, like a more relevant one, more active users etc, I think this should help you to find what you want rather than trying to guess.

I get that all the time in some of my larger groups. It's a sure way to get banned from my group and have your post reported as spam. If you want to advertise, do it on your own pages or pay for advertising.

You don't need to post immediately what are your offers at first. You need to build reputation first in the community. It's useless to post offers to the groups without knowing you at all... Would you buy a new model car not knowing the manufacturers background and rep?

Agreed to that! There are lots IM on our college group and I can't help myself reporting them to facebook as spam.

  • It depends. The best groups on Facebook (big membership, great engagement, influential) are strictly moderated and spamming these groups can get you banned.

I know there are FB created specifically for you to post your product but don't expect getting any engagement from them. People there often just dump their post and leave.

Read the rules first before posting. if you are not sure of what to do, contact the Admin to confirm if can post whatever you want to post and you'd be guided. There are groups which forbid advertising your products but give concessions when Admin was contacted personally.

It totally depends on the group. Follow the rules for the groups you are in if you want to continue to stay in them. Look at the other posts being left up on the group you're thinking of.

It will vary by group as to whether or not you can post advertising. If you are allowed to post ads, then be sure that you are adding high quality content of some kind, such as tutorials and advice or answering questions and engaging the group in some way and not just posting ads.

Read the rule first before you post & follow the groups topics. I suggest to ping the group admin and give an offer... the best idea i've ever experience man simple hit admin inbox and build conversation then give them offer.

If the Facebook group has a rule against advertising, then don't advertise there. But, if they say directly, 'you can advertise here', then it's the right group for you. Pick a group that is about your niche, and not just a group that is nothing but advertisements. Otherwise, it's just a spam group and will serve no purpose for you.

More than correct, read the rules, invest the 20 seconds and avoid the trouble with a 2 week ban

    I can't believe you agree.

    What the?

    Holy.

Do you even read what the heck he is talking about before you quote?

If they allow advertisement, why do spammer advertise in the group?

You will have a freaking spam to your notification.

    Nobody cares about the ads.

If they don't allow advertising, it is good.

    People read what you say.

    Put cool stories.

Put things related to your niche.

At the end, make a natural offer.

From my experience, open group is like crap.

I like close group more but you need to know somebody to add you to the group.

If you are thinking about finding a good group for your business, my group is a perfect place for you.

We have people in the business together to share ideas.

It is a good place to learn.

    Forum is really big.

It is really hard for you to find a person and build relationship.

If you like to read tons of spam in forum, go ahead.

If you want a good place for making connection and grow your business, join in.

OK, so would you say that the better groups are the closed ones that do not allow advertising as you can strike up better relationships?

The only groups that allow this type of advertising are spam groups. And, most people only post to these groups via bots, which means no one else is actually seeing your Facebook group posts as they never actually show up to read the posts. The exception might be a Facebook group which mandates that members post other useful content/tips and only allows advertising on one day a week.

Through Facebook group posting you keep out your product. This is not consider in spam if and only if you post the content in relevant category group.
