Click to website with Facebook ads - need help

Hello!

I have lunched this morning my first Facebook ads campaign.
It's a click to website campaign and advertising it with newsfeed ad.
For this campaign I targeted 4,200,000 sport team fans in the U.S.
I created also new Facebook fanpage , because according to Facebook you must have a fanpage in order to create newsfeed ads. It's a new Facebook fanpage so it hasn't had any likes. My bids are per 1,000 impressions. Since this morning the ad didn't reach anyone, and of course I didn't have any clicks. I am doing something wrong? Do the ads only visible to the Facebook fanpage users or the 4,200,000 targeted people see it too? Because it's quite unreasonable that it's been 8-9 hours and the ad didn't reach to anyone yet.

    Are you sure your bid is on the suggested bid range, Facebook tends to not show ads that bid too low, or shows them in places that they do not even get noticed, always give 10 cents more than the lowest price on the bid range. For example if Facebook suggests $0.85-$1.20 as a bid, then you should try to bid for $0.95. Hope this helps

      I have heard that most people on Facebook don't respond to ads as much as they do on Craigslist, Ebay Classifieds, and Google.


      Then again, I don't know. Facebook is primarily meant for social interactions and making friends, rather than advertising to people.


      If you are not getting clicks, make sure you are posting in proper ad format, and give enough description for your ad.

    Facebook sometimes underestimates the cost of showing ads. If you've got an ad that isn't getting any reach, try slowly raising your bid on the ad. Raise it .10 to .20 cents at a time and wait an hour to see if it starts showing. If not, switch over to CPC and bid right at the high bid. If you have a good ad, Facebook will adjust your CPC down to a much lower amount. I usually start at .20 per click and end up at .07 per click or lower by the time it's all said and done.

    From my Experience it is also important what your ad looks like. You'll need an Eye - Catching Picture and a Headline that makes the Reader think: Oh yes,i need that. Good Tactic is always asking Questions in a Headline like: Need Traffic? Or something like this. Hope this helps!

    Ok, I changed the bid from 0.98 cents to 1.20$ and I created more attractive ad. The ad didn't reach anyone yet (I'ts been 2 hours since I made the edit). Just a reminder, I don't have any likes in the special fanpage I created for the ad.
    What to do now?
