Paying YouTubers to promote your product?

So I am currently in the process of writing a couple of e-books on a topic that I am very knowledgeable about and it seems like there might be a small gap in the market. I was thinking of contacting relatively small YouTubers who get around 30-100k views per video about marketing my product. As teenagers are my target demographic it would be a perfect audience to market to as the majority of views on these videos are for teenagers.

I would want to set it up in a way that if the person goes through the affiliate link the YouTuber then they get 10 percent off (the customer) and the YouTuber gets 40-50% commission on the $9 e-book. I am planning on purchasing a domain name, getting a website designed and having a place for people to enter their email. When they receive that email they will get another free e-book related to the e-book I am trying to sell to them. Would this be enough to be able to get 100-200 sales on my e-book by early 2015? Is there another way that I could use my website without having to spend much money directing traffic to it... or a way to maximise sales?

There are many ways to advertise your ebook, you can try starting a blog, post it as a WSO. Video is HOT so paying a youtuber may be a good idea. I have never tried it I usually just post my videos all over than web, not just youtube. In addition giving out a free report is good it will build your list and its a good promotion tool.

Try creating reports and uploading them to article sharing websites, same with power points you can input the keywords your targeting into the sites so you when people search them your content will pop up! Staying consistent is key just keep releasing promotional content

Thankyou, I already have a small list, but hope to just send e-mails and get in contact with as many YouTubers as I can sending them examples of my work. I'm not too sure how to word the e-mail without sounding like I am going to scam them or sound like it is a bogus email. I know that some YouTubers get approached by larger companies about advertising their products. However, I feel like I will get ignored because it will be hard to convince people that I am genuine.

I have currently spent almost 15 hours on my e-book (because I've been research a bit of the internet and writing) and have 3000 words so far. I am hoping to have near about 5000/6000 words by tomorrow, then hoping to edit it and add some images. I know this is quite a short ebook, but it's directed towards students ages 13-18. Is a price tag of £4.95 (GBP) about $8 (USD) too expensive?

*whoops, I was meant to post on my other thread, but I don't want to double post the same message*

Thankyou, what would be more appropriate of the two... giving the YouTuber 50% of the commission (via some sort of affiliate link), pay the per 1000 views or a sum of money? Considering that it's very hard to find smaller YouTubers with enough views I was thinking of contacting some with around 150k-250k subscribers that get anywhere from 30-100k on their videos. Thoughts please?

Thankyou everyone for the replies :-)

I like your idea about making the Youtube personality into an affiliate and offering commission when they land you a sale. This would be a good incentive for the person making the review for you and from their point of view, another good way to earn money.

I believe that some companies give the Youtuber a certain code that they then give to their viewers so they can get a bit of money off. Thank you, is there any other way that I could automatically pay the person commission without going through click bank? Click bank seems a bit too fiddly for me and apparently it's a bit of a pain if you live in the UK.
