It's not hard at all actually. Your conversions will be very low, so you'll want to build up a huge following.

Tweet several times a day. A mix of retweets, links to other people's content you have found, and links to your own content is a good approach. They should all be targeted toward your niche of course. And your followers should be related to your niche as well. As should the affiliate product you are promoting.

Then, perhaps once or twice per day, tweet your affiliate link, with a sentence or two to entice people to click through. It's best to use a URL shortener.

This can work, but again, your conversions will be very low, so focus on building a very large following.

No one using Twitter is anywhere near their wallet, and I doubt your link will make them reach for it. There is a better use for Twitter, and that is to send your followers to a Squeeze Page where they can sign up for your list. Promote a free giveaway they will received for signing up. There are a ton of ebooks around the web you can offer if you don't want to create something. Just search Google for free ebooks to use to build your list.

Anyway, Tweet a link to your sign-up form and promote your free product...then market your affiliate products to that list. Also, make sure you provide other useful information at the same time. If all you Tweet are links to your Squeeze Page, the results will be poor. Link helpful articles relating to your niche here and there. I suggest a 5:1 ratio. So, 5 helpful articles, tips, etc. to one tweet with your link in it. Hope this helps you out. Best of luck.

Easy, build an enormous targeted following, use hashtags and post. However I would recommend to use twitter to build an email list and send out those promotions to your list.

couple things that have always helped me.

    1. use images in your tweet where possible
    2. always include one #
    3. @ other people and start conversations
    4. respond when somebody @'s you
    5. don't repetitively send out the same links over and over... space them out... I think of Twitter like able mailing list except it is your opportunity to keep people entertained
    6. tweet when your followers are on
    7. find hashtags that relate to the day of the week
    8. used TweetDeck if you have multiple accounts

I just pulled those off the top of my head. I'm sure I can think of more

  • Give Give Give, that's the key, give free information of value to people. Drive everything to a capture page to build a list, and market your affiliate list to that list.

You would want to build a large following and engage in conversation with them. This way, they know that you're not just a robot auto posting things. Also, hashtags can be really useful, especially in tracking. Good luck!

Get a big following, use Twitter search extensively and look for terms related to your industry. Hashtags are also a thing you can use. These can help you see trends and the like.

You can promote your links on Moneygiantz. Also you are able to promote it by joining interest groups or networking. Promoting on Twitter depends on your followers - if they are active or not. Adding a catchy photo to your tweet is not a bad idea if your followers really read your tweets and your tweet stands out of other as well. Good luck!

I think it would be much more effective and less intrusive with the culture on Twitter to tweet a link to a post you've written on your blog that includes an affiliate link - than to tweet the affiliate link directly. Write up a review of the product on your blog, give a balanced review, share why the product is relevant to your readers, tell them who would benefit most from it etc. And THEN tweet a link to the review. The problem with Twitter is that you've got 140 or so characters and to really do the product you're promoting service and to give your readers a well balanced review you need more than that.

These were some nice answers!! I totally agree. Affiliate links tweeted directly will not work well on twitter. i tried it and was getting over 5k clicks but 3 or 4 conversions.. not really worth it with the time that goes into posting, finding tags, etc.

however i changed link to a squeeze page related to twitter marketing n sometimes made videos showing twitter tips and built a list that way.. much better result.

when you message your list you could keep it short n sweet like "Hi fname.. I just uploaded video 2 just to help you out a bit further" you already know if they signed up they are interested in the topic at hand.

Be entertaining first. People will follow you if you have fun things to say or at least provide useful information. Let the marketing be secondary to the content you give followers and this will get more readers for your tweets.

The trick to effectively marketing on twitter is having a big following and automation.

      1. Use advanced search options to find out what people are talking about- For example, if you search for people who are tweeting the phrase "looking for web hosting" It turns up a tweets related to web hosting. Once you find these keywords in posts, you can reach out to the person who tweeted them to say hello, and ask to connect and start building a relationship to where you can then offer them a solution to their web hosting problem.

DO NOT lead with your offer or affiliate link. Start the conversation with genuine interest in the person by asking them what they do, and why they need whatever particular solution.

      2. Tweet often to boost SEO.
      3. Reach people on mobile phones.
      4. Change link headlines each time you tweet them to boost traffic.

I hope these few tips help.

If you're going use Twitter, tweet your blog posts with useful information. This gets people to click on your link and come to your blog. Do not Twitter the product. People can smell spam a mile away.

LinkPlug is a service that makes stupid simple to advertise inside any link you share on twitter.

    > Plug Your Links - LinkPlugApp.com

Just add your affiliate link to a Plug, and,

tweet stuff your target audience will enjoy!

This way you don't tweet the affiliate links directly.

Tweeting affiliate links looks spammy. Don't do it!

LinkPlug also makes it easy to test which affiliate links work best with the content you share!

    Hope that helps!
