Selling mugs and other thigs related to football clubs, via facebook.

Idea is setting up a site selling football related stuff, then posting pages selling club apparel, via amazon. Simple as that really. Did it by mistake literally in another niche and got quite a good response, but I am active in that niche.

My question is would this be seen as spam, and could I face a ban from facebook. Would I need to be a bit active in the forums and comments before I consider trying this method? I appreciate I would get more response if I were more active, but my findings so far seem to be that I get good response without being active, by 'piggybacking' on popular posts or image shares. But early days and I am thinking that this method might get some people's back up at some point.

Any thoughts or experiences here would be really appreciated?

If you start posting in other people's groups and on pages you don't own yourself, you'll probably get reported for spam at some point. Create your own page, build a following and post your links on your own page. That way, everybody's happy.

Look at it this way. If you'd spent a considerable amount of time and a decent amount of money building a following on Facebook, would you want someone you didn't know coming to your page and trying to leech off your hard work? At the very least, send the page a message asking if it's OK. I instantly ban anyone who advertises on my page without asking first and rarely allow people who ask to do it unless it's for a good cause.
