Facebook Says My Web Address Is Available and Then Says It Isn't

This is very strange. When I enter the web address that I want and click on "Check Availability" Facebook says that it's available. But when I click on "Confirm" it says that it's no longer available. When I visit the link there is no page setup so it must be available. Any suggestions on how I can get my web address?

    The first message that the page name is available might be a formality but here might be a confirmation process which occurs when you try to register it. And, there could be more than one reason that name is not available such as it's against a Facebook TOS or rule so it's not being allowed. You could send a message to Facebook and ask them to let you have that name and it should get some type of response as to the true availability.

    I had the same issue. But as I read further I learned you need a certain number of followers (100, I think) before you can set a web address. I think that may be the cause of the problem in my case at least. Perhaps that is the same for you?

    In fact i just did it last week and you need 25 likes to be able to have a custom page name, that's all

      Ah ok, thanks. I tried to do it as soon as I created my page, when I didn't have any likes yet.
