Need advice on which type of facebook page to use
I recently started a small business offering cycling holidays and training camps and am now beginning to market it through social media.
Before starting my facebook page I have a couple of questions. I'd be really greatful for any help:
- The cycling community is small and quite a close community. I really want to engage with everyday cyclists on their facebook pages, but understand that if I start up a business page, I will be unable to do this, i.e. add everyday cyclists who are club members and potential customers as friends and get to know them. If however I set up a personal page I will be able to do this, athough it is against facebooks rules.
My question is, does anyone recommend doing a personal page so as I can engage more? - With facebook business pages, what are the tactics for engagement? I do not offer a product or service that will automatically entice the masses to hit like on my facebook page. I understand that on a business facebook page I cannot interact with user on a personal page, but only other business pages. I fear therefore that my facebook page will become stagnant, as I can't converse with everyday cyclists, dicuss race results, share photos etc, as I don't have any cyclists as yet coming for cycling holidays and little content other than some photos of the area to share. If my thinking is wrong on this then please correct me.
- I also believe I can also interact with commuity paages but what other types of pages can I interact with if I am on a business page?
- Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks for the help
