How to Get Facebook Video to Play in HD Automatically?

Does anyone know how to upload a video to Facebook Fanpage or timeline, and have the video play in HD automatically, without having to click the HD playback button in the lower right corner?

I uploaded videos, recorded in 1080p, directly to facebook. But facebook plays them back in a lower resolution which looks horrible. I know to press the HD button, but I'm concerned that many people won't know to do that, especially on their phone, and so they won't finish watching the video and think it looks bad.

I would like it to automatically playback the video in HD.

I know I can load it to youtube first, and then embed in facebook. Then it plays back at higher quality and looks better. But, the video looks small in the timeline. I don't think facebook displays the video full width in the timeline, and I think less people will notice the video if it just looks like a shared blog article.

Any ideas?
