Pinterest Like Button

Does anyone know the value of the Pinterest like button? Does it affect your rank in the Pinterest search engine? Is it a "bad sign" if your pin has more likes than repins?

    It might be suspicious if your pin has more likes than repins as 'likes' can be bought. You don't want to get your account flagged/banned.

    Personally I don't see why having more likes than repins can affect your account. If I like a pin this doesn't mean that I also need to repin it.

    More people repin than like. If I think something is great, I will normally both like it and repin it, but you should find a higher number of repins as there is more value for someone's followers if pins are repinned.
