Google Feedburner...Not so good anymore?

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted here. I apologize for my absense, I guess I sort of lost belief in my website and slowed the progress down.

I'm back on track and I'm wondering something...

Is Google feedburner something I should have for my blog?

I have a fitness blog and I was told to use feedburner to help with SEO ranking as well as backlinking. Everytime I posted a post, it would be shared automatically through social media. But when I did my Googling, I keep hearing that it's not the best thing anymore.

What is the best thing, and is it important that I have such a method for success?

My website is fitfrek.com.

Thanks warriors!

  • I'd be a bit more hands on with your social media posts. Try to create engaging posts on the social networks and not just automated updates from your blog.

As for SEO its not an important ranking factor anymore. Any sort of automated link is going to be classified as low quality in Google's eyes

BTW Im a fitness enthusiast - really nice transformation you have, packed on some excellent lean muscle. I really think with a better website you could make a decent impression in the fitness world.

People who have excellent transformations like yourself usually do well at selling products purely because readers can view the proof in yourself

That's great advice. Engaging the viewers and readers seems like the right thing to do. So basically, I'd be sharing the posts, but at the same time engaging them for a bit of interaction between them.

Thank you, I'm glad to be a part of the fitness world. Many out there need help like crazy!

By better website, do you mean better content or better design? No matter how much I google it, i can't find the answer. Some people say that design is important, others say content is.

And thanks again for the quick response, it was helpful.
