Facebook page likes vs site likes

Always confused about facebook. If I have a like button on a post and a person clicks it, are they also going to be counted as a "like" on my facebook page?

I'm using addthis but not thrilled with it as it seems slow, esp on mobile. Anyone know a better one, I specifically want a like button, not a facebook share button as I'm finding people will like my post but they don't want to share it. Tks.

They won't be automatically added as a like to your page.

The like will only relate to the specific post.
