Facebook Fanpage marketing Question

Hi,

One of the strategies for driving traffic to your website is to share your website content on Facebook Fanpages with lots of likes that are open to public for sharing. My question is how you find these fanpages? I mean popular fanpages that allow external posts? Have you ever used this strategy? If you have, what's your next step? Do you contact the page moderator or submit the post or post it directly? Not quite sure how it works.

    It is very rare that you will find groups/pages that will allow external content to be shared. It is recommended that you try out relevant groups first as they technically are there to promote content.

    Best practices dictate avoiding being too commercial or promotional about your product or business and instead share your best blog content but even then moderators may not approve.

      I guess it depends on the fanpage. Most will do share for share (s4s) where if you whare their page, then post on their page saying you have and ask "s4s?" they usually will reciprocate.

      Just do a search in facebook for the keywords you are looking for and you will find pages.

    It's tough to get your site shown on other peoples fan pages but what you can do is create your own fan page and ask other similar fan pages for share for share (s4s) or promo for promo (p4p). I've created many fanpages this way to over 10,000+ in a short time. Also a really great way to get your site out there is to do a search for keywords pertaining to your site and join groups associated to your site through facebook. This way you can reach alot of people in a short time but be careful when posting to groups you don't want to sound like a spammer. I hope this helps you.
