Who do I report cheating in the Warriors for Hire section to?

There is a member who has been bumping his thread before they fall off the first page for several months. Who are the new mods to report this to? I have tried clicking the little icon on the thread and reporting it that way, to no avail. This is unfair to other advertisers that don't cheat. He has unfair advantage.

If you find the reporting is not working, then click on the help desk link in the nav bar.

It's one of those things that are hard for the moderators to do anything about. Without them physically seeing it happen, there is almost no way for them to prove that it happened.

Best thing you can do is report it. If you can catch them yourself with screenshots, the moderators would be willing to take a look at those I'm sure.

That was rampant in the formerly Complete Sites for Sale section awhile back in addition to creating duplicate listings so one is always on the first page, which was also against the rules. I reported them and they all got deleted and warned. I'd use the Help Desk or contact Alaister about it if the report button isn't getting results.

I didn't mean to imply that it never gets dealt with. I just remember seeing a lot of mod reports around this sort of thing with the mods asking if anyone else could confirm it.

It is very much a he-said-she-said sort of thing unless the seller in question is really blatantly obvious about it.

I think it got dealt with when I reported it because I reported it directly to Paul via PM and then he saw the problems there too. It was mostly duplicate offers there, but I've read Paul mention spam bumping and banning a member there for repeated spam bumping.

Both of you would certainly know better than I. I tried staying out of the sales sections as much as possible.

Thomas can sometimes tell based on the interval between bumps.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I have taken note of the seller and threads in question that you sent me via PM.

This is a rule that sellers should be following and we're looking at a few ways to enforce this. Meanwhile, reporting any violations is the best way for us to handle specific cases.
