How To Restore The Warrior Forum
2. Return to $40 WSOs. Make it mandatory that a member is also a War Room member before they can post. Set the price of a bump at $40 but make every third bump free. This will provide a serious incentive to keep threads alive.
3. Return to a 20-year War Room membership and make the price $37 as it was in the past.
4. Make new members watch a short video that explains the basics. Stuff like not posting redundant questions; using the search feature; sig spamming, etc. Let them know there are consequences for violating these rules and make them sign off that they've watched the video and understand it. Also make new members wait 30 days before allowing their sig to go live. This would be waived for War Room members.
5. Create a new JV marketplace where members offering excellent information can partner with Warrior Forum and receive 50 percent of the sales price of various products from courses and ebooks and guides to software and graphics. Have strict rules about the quality of the products and more important, the veracity of the sales material. This alone could return a lot of the credibility to this place that has been lost over the last couple of years.
6. Return authority to the mods. I've stopped reporting issues because my reports have gone ignored. The main board is full of gray and black hat discussions that would have never been allowed before. One day a big site like CraigList or Facebook is going to trace some of the crap they often experience at the hands of "IM" termites to this site. I believe they'd have an excellent case for damages considering the number of threads that exist where members are discussing how to violate the terms of service of other sites.
The stuff mentioned above would obviously be a return to much of what was successful in the past. But in my opinion that's not quite enough. The main problem here is that there are not enough experienced members participating in the discussions. And ignoring the concerns of experienced members to appeal to the newer members is a massive mistake. It seems that management believes that their "customers" are mainly new members and that they don't want to alienate them by deleting redundant posts and other apparent "heavy handed" measures.
The problem with that is without seasoned members there are no real marketing discussions. Just a lot of filler nonsense like: "How did you make your first $10?" Or "How would you invest $12?" There are also far too many ridiculous rants and complaints. The sub heading for main board used to be: Where We Talk About Making Money. These days those discussions are few and far between.
I arrived here in 2008 and there was a much more rigid atmosphere though it was not unfriendly. Senior members often reminded newbies of what was acceptable. The mods dispensed with violations immediately. And that was just how it went. Some complained that things weren't fair but most of those people stuck around just the same. And even in the midst of this firm but fair environment the site grew and prospered. Again, I believe the mods need to be on top of things immediately. And unless that happens, and quick, this place will be all but dead within the year.
My parents used to tell me that I shouldn't complain unless I had a solution to the problem. Well, there it is. Peace.
