Does Anybody read Suggestion threads, except the WF support?

Not so long ago I submitted a thread in Suggestions Forum, asking a question, can we develop a WF app. The truth is that WF works just fine on my phones, let us not go too deep into the functionality analysis, but hey, I wanted to ask. Little did I know that I stumble upon a much serious problem. So, what actually happened and why is it important?

Well, one of warriors kindly informed me that this question had already been asked earlier in more or less similar form. Again, to be quite honest, I did not paid too much attention to this friendly warning. We live in the brave-new-cyber-world, which means that it is almost impossible to reinvent a wheel. There is a shocking probability that all you wanted to ask has already been answered on the forum, this way or another, more or less directly and precisely. Again it is my constitutional right to ask and get the answers. Just like it is my right to be stupid. People should be allowed to ask whatever they want because sometimes they want to hear it first hand. Maybe, just like me, sometimes you want to enjoy the discussion because deep inside you already know the answer.

Then, it happened again. I was reading a thread submitted by "jkennedy" (hope I am not mistaken) of how he enjoyed some great time hanging out with WF management team. All in all, lots of positive vibes, except one warrior who was frustrated with the deja vu threads. Again, you can forbid someone to ask questions that are already been answered, just because you were able to join this forum earlier. On the other hand, the forum should give advantage to new arrivals. Meaning, let us solve and discuss some fresh ideas and problems. How?

Well, I am not a developer. And, I understand how easy it is to point a finger and say, can you do/make me this or that. Yet, can you imagine a function such as this? You are submitting a thread. There is some powerful engine or algorithm or whatever and in the matter of seconds your thread has been checked and scanned. You get a friendly warning that something similar has already been discussed and resolved. Yet, you are given a choice to move on and do your thing completely free. It is entirely up to you. So, why I did not submit this brilliant idea of mine in Suggestion Forum?

Let us play the game of painful honesty again. I thought that this idea deserves to be discussed. Once this suggestion is submitted in the part of the forum reserved for fabulous ideas, here is what would happen, almost certainly. A warrior or two would comment. The support would say, thank you, we would see what could be done about it in the future. And, that is it. This way, I "camouflaged" a thread, which obviously belongs to Suggestion Forum instead of the Main stage. Now, was this an ethical thing to do? Well, I may ask in return, what were my other options?

It is undoubtedly a tricky situation. If you run this I-know-what-you-asked-the-last-summer hypothetical software too tight, then it is very likely that you will kill all the circulation here. WF will be transformed into one giant library. And, who wants to go into library? Seriously? I am here because I want to talk with the real people not to read the books. On the other side, if we do not do a thing about it, we will go through the deja vu scenarios over and over again.

I remember one warrior wrote that we should all check our threads before we post them. Just in case. But, you know what. Maybe I do not have time or wish to do it. Maybe, I am eager to become a part of some discussion. Maybe, I want to see it with my own eyes. You know, you want some kind of a "special treatment." So, I am talking about a friendly and fair balance between our human-warrior-rights to ask and our obligation not to annoy other people and torture the system.

Every experience is unique. Every question posted here has a personal element no system in the world could detect. Maybe I am asking the same question, but from my own personal perspective. It deserves to be answered and discussed, doesn't it? Yet, I also have to admit how disappointed I was to find out that my thread about how long we are willing to work every single day has been "processed" here more than once. The probability that I would get some mind-blowing never to be heard and seen answers was almost zero. Yet, I wanted my own ride and I eventually got it. This personal satisfaction of mine did not make the WF to become a better place, did it? Can you see my point now?

I dream a dream of a day when I will write and then hopefully publish my own first book. OK, what is the first thing I need to do? Before I even start writing, I mean. Well, I need to check if someone has already written the similar book or already "processed" my idea. The technology has allowed our world to remember quite a lot and that is why it has become not to so easy to be 100% original. Yet, there is some justice in the world left for us to enjoy here. I noticed that honest and genuinely fresh threads are rewarded with quality comments, appreciation, and much desired attention. On the other hand, the deja vu attention seekers and grabbers, who recycle more or less used ideas and questions, are "punished" with the trivialization of their threads and painfully brief popularity.

Again I feel bad because I had to use a "Trojan horse" to discuss a thread, which by all characteristics deserves to be in the Suggestion Forum rather than here. Yet, who would read it? Who would discuss it, if I strictly followed the rules? I am the first to admit that I do not read threads in Suggestion Forum unless some of my suggests is submitted there. Are you any different?

The premise of your post has now been disproven. You didn't post it in the suggestion forum and I still could not bear to read through it.

I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. But for what I can see is you want to post suggestions in the main forum (which you did) when it should be in the suggestion forum (I reported this post to be moved and I hope it is soon, and I encourage others to report it as well)

I think I have the gist of it. He's too lazy to check if the question has been asked and answered before and he cloaks it by saying he wants to get the answer directly from the horse's mouth as opposed to actually looking for the answer.

In other words to save him time he wants everybody else to waste theirs answering the same old questions again and again.

It is quite obvious that you have never been there yourself. It you did you would know that, the only people who read the forum are posters that have suggested simple suggestions. If they were truly read and acted upon this forum would have a lot less spam.

I thought that this idea deserves to be discussed.
Obviously, the people who own the forum didn't agree and others were not interested in commenting.

If you make a suggestion in the proper forum section - either FL mods/admins will answer...or they won't. No need to write a book or a sales page.
