Get Your Paid Writers to Format Their Articles Correctly

From the get go, your paid writers have had a problem (among others) of posting poorly formatted articles.

I know you think you are adding value to the forum, but ask yourself if adding poorly formatted stuff is what you want.

One example of many such problem articles follow. Note that while it seems the problem is with apostrophes, here's an example of where it's okay.

Most of the bold is mine:

Email campaigns are a great way to spread the word about your upcoming business (or personal) ventures. Whether you are using the campaigns to sell a product, promote an upcoming class or entice people to come to your website email campaigns are arguably one of the most valuable assets to any brand or business owner.

Anyone can slap an email together and press send but it takes grooming to get things just right. The upside of email campaigns is that there are loads of way to do them successfully. The trick is finding what works for you. In the meantime, here are 10 ways to boost your email marketing campaigns!

Hire a Writer
Compelling writing is one of the pillars of a great email campaign. You have this amazing business/brand and an awesome idea. Your innovative and flow seamlessly with the trends of the time. You€™re an absolutely wiz at finding the next big thing but like many of us, you€™re not so good with words. Hiring a writer is your simple quick fix.

Use Media
Please don€™t be one of those absolutely boring people who simply slap text together and press send. Generally speaking, plain text email campaigns are not as effective as those that continue media. Adding relevant pictures and videos is gives the reader different things to engage with making it easier to get through the length of your email.

Craft Stellar Headlines
A bland subject line can be the death of your campaign. If you are good at writing emails but not so good at crafting eye grabbing titles, you can hire a writer for this as well. The last thing you want to do is waste time and resources on your website and products and then fail when it comes to reeling in potential buyers and readers alike.

Make Each Email Meaningful
It€™s simple to just throw something together and push send but this is not what we€™re going for. We want sales and visitors. We have a brilliant idea that has the potential to change lives and we need for that to show in our emails. If we can€™t convey this in a clear and concise manner our campaign is pretty much done-zo.

Give the Reader Something
This is completely optional but promising to give the reader something at the end of the campaign is great way to get readers interested and engaged. If done properly you can convert the reader into someone who supports your brand long term even if it means liking and sharing on a regular basis.

Link Your Stuff
Don€™t forget to add links to your websites in the text. This is how you get clicks so your readers know what you are about but be careful not to stuff the email with links---especially if they have nothing to do with one another. This comes across as sloppy and unprofessional.

Keep it Short and Sweet
Your email doesn€™t have to be 1,000 words long. Keeping your emails short and concise could be the key to securing more sales and readers. While it€™s easier to write long form anything short emails are plain better simply because they get to the point quicker. Besides, I€™m sure your readers didn€™t sign up to read short stories.

Make it Personal
Adding a personalized line is always great or even just format your emails to call the subscriber by their first name. Inviting readers to share their thoughts or engage in conversation is a great way to let your readers know that their thoughts and ideas are important to you.

Don€™t Spam
This is pretty self-explanatory. Never spam your subscribers with multiple emails per day. Or even every day (unless the campaign is short). Nothing is worse than checking your email and seeing that the site you took a chance on is sending multiple messages each and every day.

Be Prepared
Make sure each of your emails flows from one to the next. Make sure all of your information is filled, links are set and relevant media is applied to the email. Be ready for any questions and concerns that you may get from your prospects.

Happy Marketing!

While I also have plenty of concerns with these articles, in this particular case, the problem actually seems to lie more with the site's new software, rather than with the article posters. See this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/suggesti...haracters.html

But If I'm able to post with apostrophes and things work out correctly, why can't they? Maybe it's because they are cutting and pasting?

I do understand exactly what you are saying, which is why I had come to the identical conclusion earlier, myself. But if you look at the thread I referenced, an older post must've displayed correctly at the time it was posted, since the very next post quotes it with apostrophes displaying correctly. It comes down to how data flows from the HTML forms to their server to their database and then back again, but I haven't yet figured out why some posts work and some don't.
