WF in numbers: Recognitions and Rewards

I spent some time on WF and I consider myself to be a warrior newbie. I'm still discovering and exploring things there. Have to say there are quite a few surprises. Just the other day, I noticed a warrior among the numerous comments with an account that was more than 10 years old or something. That's simply great. I was also reading about WF. I remember on one site there were some impressive numbers about WF. Like hundreds of thousands of members, threads, comments, and stuff.

Now, I remember how Freelancer nicely marked 10M and 20M users. So, I was thinking, can WF do something similar? For instance, to award the oldest accounts with some nice badges or T-shirts. Something symbolic as a sign of attention and respect. Then we could check what's the situation with the number of threads and comments and members. If there's an interesting number we're still to reach, I don't 500K or 5M or something, WF can announce it. Make a little spectacle out of it. These things are something every forum should be proud of.

Finally, this is also something I had a chance to see and use on Freelancer, the system of rewards, perks, and badges. For certain achievements, you get some badge or some symbolic reward. I have witnessed first-hand that these things helped a lot Freelancer position itself respectfully. I honestly believe that these details can help WF achieve a win-win scenario for both itself and its members. Thank you.

The old forum was like that but more when you 1000 Posts you gave back either some good tip or product , but now nothing when I had mine I had to asked if I could post it in the main board

There are still some of us senior warriors who still think this is a much better way than getting a badge or button we are not in Kindi anymore!

We had a system like this at school when I was 5
The forum is supposed to be for grown ups.

But I suppose they could start rewarding posts
that make sense rather than looking like
an article that's been through a faulty spinner.

Anyone know who the mods are on the forum?

Oh, they're the people with the official red tags under their user names who are jumping in on all of the various threads in the Suggestion Forum, engaging in useful and meaningful give-and-take conversations, showing their appreciation, and prioritizing which suggestions are actually being integrated into this site.

If you want to make the WF better, stop posting trashy articles. It will help.

This is rich. The guy getting paid cold, hard cash to post wants the rest of us that have been here for years trying to help out where we can to get a special button.

Thanks but at the rate things are going, soon those that deserve medals won't be here any longer. We already have threads where you and your paid cohorts are the only (or main) ones posting. Quite the spectacle.

I say all this as a supporter of the forum who has tried to be positive, tried to help where I can, shown appreciation to management for good changes, given advice when asked for it yet despite all that being 100% ignored.

If I wasn't trying to keep my manners, I'd tell you and anyone with the authority to give out this recognition exactly what they can do with...

Never mind. No one is reading this anyway so the rant won't do any good. And even if they were, anything said is apparently ignored.

What a wonderful idea: reward people for reaching a certain number of posts.

Now that won't encourage people to post more junk articles, will it?

If you are that keen on Freelancer then spend all your time there instead of dumping pointless article after pointless article here.

Even better, go and get a job with your uncle. At least he knows how to run a successful business.
