The "New" Indicator Seems to be Broken

The new indicator that shows up on the forum list, doesn't seem to indicate reality. It seems to show that there are new posts when there really aren't. At least they aren't new to me.

We think this is just a temporary issue that won't affect new posts, but we're looking into it to make sure.

What is the "new" indicator? That sounds like an interesting feature that might actually prove rather useful.

Open up the forum list view where it shows all the forums. On the left, they have a "new" indicator to show forums with new activity.

Problem is, it indicates new activity for a time even after you've seen all the new stuff. That is what I was reporting. It's irritating.

    Oh, I see. Thank you.

I was sort of hoping that there'd be a way to see which threads were new or updated within a given subforum since I was last there. e.g., I'll type "/p" and Firefox automatically brings up the Programming subforum. But then I sort of have to go by memory.

Ah I misunderstood. There was a problem recently where none of the indicators were working properly, but that's fixed now.

The indicators not updating immediately after a view is a vbulletin issue that we can't easily workaround unfortunately.
