There should be a way to legitimize people selling WSO's on the forum. Anyone can make any claim saying they made thousands in IM, but how we do know its true? A lot of reviews of WSO's are paid, or people's friends, etc... Is there a way to have professional reviewers validate a WSO so we know its half way legitimate product, not a piece of junk. |

Try a search and you'll find tons of questions like this and you'll also see all the very good reasons why this won't be happening on an official basis.

There is no way, no practical way that is. My advise is if you've got a trained eye you should see through the BS anyway. That cuts out 95%, the 5% that might actually have some cigar butt value in them buy it and if it then turns out to be junk just exercise your consumer right to a refund. Most hyped up WSO's are targeted towards suckers. You don't need to buy WSO's anyway, most the information is freely available. Lol, the stuff they actually sell is being released as case studies on IM blogs. Google is your best friend. |

Personally, I would never want to see "professional reviewers" validate WSOs...... We already have enough friends, family, associates, affiliates... and "professional reviewers" here..... With "money making" WSOs, you can weed them out by ignoring all the opinions...... Look only for buyers who come back and post results... If no one has, ask the following: Has anyone implemented this and made money? Keep in mind, many methods take days or weeks to see results... So, you cannot look at "brand new" WSOs and expect to see results.... If you get no responses, that is a sign.... ![]() Take Care, Rich Beck BCIP, MCSD, MCIS

| I think some of the better quality WSO's that really DO make money like they claim get no responses, and yes, that is definitely a sign!!! Human nature makes us all competive and we don't like sharing our treasures with anyone except the ones we deem worthy of our generosity! That's why it's never a good idea to piss anyone off for no good reason or underestimate their value. But here's the ironic part of that equation: The more you give, the more you end up with. That's why Kim Roach [buzzblogger] had so much traffic last month she had to upgrade her server!! |

I see things a little differently.... If it is a real business and not a loophole, you could scream about your success from the highest mountaintop..... It would have little or no impact on your business... Why? 90% of the people buying the WSO will quit before fully implementing.... So, even if 100 more people buy because of your fantastic testimonial.... Only 10 are potential competitors... If it is a loophole, that is a totally different story.... Anything that mentions a dollar amount (ex: How I made $17,593.47) is BS, move along... That right there will elminate approx. 50% of the crap. What one person earns has nothing to do with anyone else, never has, never will. |

And the other 50% is probably some rehashed garbage from 5 years ago. So you can ignore that too. Problem solved.

Almost all WSO's released highlight on This is not this, this is not that etc. Most of the sale pages are almost typical i.e: all those are written in the same fashion. See below. 1. You don't need this. 2. You don't need that. 3. Works any time anywhere. 4. Easy and even a newbie can do. etc. etc. but no one says clearly what it is. No one says 1. What is required - Hosting, Auto-responder, Content, Any plugin? A theme? etc. 2. No one says what are the other expenses? 3. No one says whether there are any OTO's unless someone asked it. 4. No one says whether it is worldwide or for any particular region. They know that if they give all these details then others can easily find out a similar product under a different name has been already released sometime back. Most of the WSO's are in this category. The other important clue to avoid such releases is if the price is increasing and time is limited then it is better to avoid such releases since they are simply building up the pressure. |

Even if you had people review the products that is still only the opinion of one person. What one person classifies as quality is not necessarily the same as the next person. You are an adult right? So use your own judgement. You don't expect to walk into a supermarket and have all of the products reviewed for you, do you? So why is this any different. As with any purchase, buyer beware. It's up to you to do your own research. |

The problem is it's so easy to say anything online. For example, how would we go about proving what YOUR name was? Just a simple thing like that would take a lot of time and effort. If we moved on to try and PROVE the website in your profile is REALLY yours or not, if you REALLY do SEO work in South Florida, or even if you know anything at all about SEO would be a massive undertaking. And you are just one person. Think of the hundreds of offers on here. How in the world would anyone ever be able to prove or review anything? I mean what if the professional reviewers was really the seller's cousin but didn't disclose it for example? I can relate - it's tough. But as someone mentioned if you eliminate ALL WSOs with income claims of ANY kind, you'll eliminate a lot of the trouble ones. Mark |

1st stay away from anything that put's your efforts into the controlling hands of anyone else. Like right now there are tons of make money spamming You Tube WSO's but do you think for one second that Google won't take what it learned from the serps and knock out the marketers on You Tube as well. Don't go for anything that's not building a real business. All the loopholes and hooplaholes are 99% junk. Then, the only review you can trust is your own. The good news is WSO's are cheap. $5, $10, $20 or $30 usually. In real business that's nothing. I mean I bought printer toner last week and because they had buy 2 get 1 free I paid over $180 for toner and the cartridges. So, your potential loss is not great and potential gain is. Think of WSO's like this. You likley wouldn't hesitate to buy a book that taught you a piece of your business puzzle from Amazon and with shipping pay $30. So, what's the difference. Patrick |

My suggestion is that in WSO threads they should have a graphic above each post which says something like "Review Copy". This would then make it clear to people browsing the thread that the review they are reading is a review copy as some reviewers don't mention this fact or it's mentioned so far into the review you need to read it almost in full to see it. So when the WSO creator creates the thread they will be asked how many review copies they are giving to people. If they enter 5 for example then they just need to enter the user names of the five members which they are giving review copies and add a preset message and they will recieve a PM which gives them a link to follow to write their review. |

Dollar amounts are key in my opinion. If the purpose of a WSO is to show you a strategy, and the results are repeatable, a "here's exactly what I did and the exact results I got" is far better than a more generic approach.

I've bought a few WSOs but the dollar amounts have never influenced my buying decisions because even if they are real - perhaps the author has certain skills which I don't have and are key to success. I tend to buy when the sales pitch is well written, sounds interesting and isn't too expensive - and whilst they might not always quite live up to the sales pitch hype, I've never bought one yet that I'd consider a complete waste of money - there is always at least one tip that justifies the price in my eyes. |

I never met a WSO I did not like really. Its all a lesson. On what to do and what not to do. I may get a brilliant idea that the WSO creator never thought of and that is fine with me. I read a WSO that was based totally on a method I shared many years ago and he made a killing with it..God Bless him is the way I see it. The info was good and evergreen. On what to do and what not to do. I may get a brilliant idea that the WSO creator never thought of and that is fine with me. Blatant ripoffs and scams is a different story...why destroy your rep putting out garbage. -Art |
