The forum can use a new rule!

I have seen so many threads in the main forum asking to review a squeeze page, but what happens a lot, is that their motives are questioned by some of our members.

We can put an end to this by simply not allowing the posting of squeeze pages, instead of posting the actual squeeze page, post a screenshot of the your squeeze page.

This will eliminate the use of a live opt-in form and would stop the bickering amongst each other.

Good point. The screenshot should give people enough of an idea. I agree with stopping the bickering. It can get in the way of the learning process.

That would turn into fine print in the TOS. People would get banned without knowing why.

My 0.02 cents

I know that some people don't have the intentions to get more subscribers and are in need of some feedback from other warriors.

There might be some people who just want more subscribers and have no intentions to change anything on their website.

Most people don't have a clue on how to post a screenshot of the their squeeze page.

I don't think that this rule should apply.

With the Chrome Plugin Chrome Webpage Screenshot and imgurl, it takes less than 3 minutes to put up a screenshot.

There are sub forums where one can ask for a review or critique. The mods are already overworked so maybe we should do our jobs to help out and report any issues...

I'm not trying to disagree, we both have different view points on the matter but honestly, if a member can't do a simple task as taking a screenshot and has no desire to learn how, then I would say that they are in the wrong business.

Or at least they need to be in a subforum where they can get the help they need without distracting others with repetitive threads. I doubt they would get quality signups anyway. I agree with the new rule proposal.

There is really nothing to report, I don't know if someone is being genuine or not.

By the way, the screenshot was just meant to get a laugh, not expecting for Paul, Ken or other mods to take it seriously.

That would be great, but I hardly ever see them in the review section. Everyone seems to be posting these threads in the main forum because they're trying to get eyeballs on them.

I for one would love to have a step by step guide on how to create a screen shot! It is no use just saying that you used (for instance) Chrome Plugin Chrome Webpage Screenshot and imgurl. How do you get them? How do you install them on your computer? How do you actually use them?
Come on writeaway - do it for us hopeless types!!!!! Plus you could probably sell the info as well.

I think this is one of the more excellent ideas I have heard. I dont like people asking me to click links personally. This is a great idea. It would also enable people to show their clients websites and cross out pertinent info so that they can show their work without having their clients spammed...

Honestly I think this is an awesome idea for a rule.
