Become Batman! KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH

Hi all,

I am new to the forums but have been ghosting for about 2 years. I decided to join because I have found A TON of great information and helpful people on here and wish to further my knowledge on IM and all things related.

I was just searching better ways to gain traffic for affiliate marketing.
I stumbled upon one video that was unlike any other I have seen.
The inventor seemed like a fair guy, drove a nice car, and came out of a nice house.
Everything seemed too perfect, but who is to say what is "too perfect?"

I don't know this man nor do I know how much time he put in to get where he was.

So I started digging and it didn't take too long lmao. I stumbled upon a YouTube review/video of a real live customer advising NOT to get the product.
My train of thought at that moment-

1. Watch video and find out why
2. Look at the like to dislike ratio- 4 Likes 7 dislikes 610 views.
3. Read the comments

3- The comments were basically all saying this kid that posted the video was a failure and it was his fault for calling the product a scam.
Fair enough.
There was one thing though.... one thing that stood out and caught my undivided attention. There was a link at the bottom of the video and it read-

______(Product Creator) CONVICTED NEWS STORY

So I clicked on it... low and behold THERE HE WAS arriving at court with his wife and kid on a REAL news broadcast.

I just shook my head. He was convicted for scamming his insurance company.

NO WAY IN HELL will I even consider this product now.

I am new here so I kept the names out. There are some very smart people in here and I hate to see people get scammed. I have been scammed twice, once in the IM world and the other was out of personal hobby/hard earned money but I will say it was executed beautifully.

For those who don't know, BE CAREFUL and please look ocean deep into these people

... just because you read it / watch it on the interwebs, doesn't mean it's true. For every true "rags to riches" story, there are 100+ fake ones. Realistic-looking fake income screenshots can be created in minutes. And it doesn't cost much to rent a really nice house and car for 1 day (or borrow your rich uncle's), and get your friend to take a video of you coming out of "your" house and getting into "your" car.

Moral of the story... take everything you read online with a BIG grain of salt. It's a minefield out there... scams are everywhere. But the good news is, there is also plenty of quality, legit info out there too -- you just have to know where to look.

Oh, and BTW, you posted this in the wrong section (this section is for "suggestions" for the forum itself).

    But welcome to the forum!

    • hahah you are the first one to get the Office Space indication. I thought this might be the wrong forums but I guess you could call it a suggestion?
