How about a reason for thread removal?

I know mods here have a lot on their plate but I think it would be nice if you could send a quick note to OP why you removed their thread.

I started Ask Me Anything thread to better help people with affiliate marketing and it got deleted - no idea why and frankly I'm feeling just a tad annoyed and discouraged from starting threads here...

Warriors already discussed about it and the solution was negative. We must post keeping the rules in mind.

Who are these warriors and where they discussed it? Or are you talking about moderators and some private area?

I didn't know it was breaking any rules so if it did, then I understand the removal.

Read the rules. Mods don't supply reasons. There have been numerous threads asking why but you won't get answers so just give up and write new threads that follow the rules.

I agree with you Stephen, but I've come to the conclusion not much we can do about it . Even if you try to clarify the rules you will get the 'loop around', I tried so I know. Unless enough people have the issue and it causes financial impact to warrior forum change here won't happen.

Just glad someone else feels like I do, when you get knocked for trying to post legitimate good content. It makes me less likely to want to post as well.

      Stephen,

Publicly, lots of members, often, and right here in main discussion. And most of the rest of the forum's sections.

"Ask me anything" threads always get removed when we see them. They are soapboxes, not topics of discussion.

Now that I think about it, this is my first time hearing of an "Ask me anything" thread, that is kind of a cool idea . I can see why they would not have it on the forum because the conversations would not be really organized and it's kind of self promoting. If someone did want to offer there help like this though, is there a way for them to reach us legitimately for that purpose?

Sure. Do it on a blog off this site, and link to it with a clear tagline in your signature.

I'm not sure why anyone would need that sort of thread, though, except as a soapbox. Isn't it just as easy to answer the questions people post here every day, if you want to be helpful and/or demonstrate your experience and skill? (Both are legitimate reasons for answering, and the outcome, if the answers are valid, is the same regardless of the motivation.)
