Newsletter Suggestion

One of the things I try to do in my life is to be fair. I've tried to do that with the changes in the forum. I've thanked the new management for some changes, I've suggested others, and I've criticized when I felt it was needed.

I believe the most recent newsletter received 7/2/14 is going the wrong direction mainly because of the title.

1. The email subject isn't anything about what I want to hear about - Warrior Forum News. Instead it's a junky, spammy, scammy subject line taught by marketers having the same qualities that say you have to get the reader's attention or they won't open.

That's because they use the churn and burn approach. They don't care about the reader and so they will lie, exaggerate, or do whatever else they can to squeeze one more nickel of the sucker/reader.

I open the email because I've been here for 15 years. I have a "relationship" with the forum. I want to know what's going on.

Please don't ruin the relationship by now starting to "churn and burn" me.

2. One of the reasons this headline is junky, spammy, and scammy is it makes me wonder why the limit on how many email subscribers I can get. It is "build an email list of 23,232 Laser Targeted Subscribers". Why can't I get 23,233? What is the limiting factor? Or is it just a headline to get the nickel?

I would hope the Warrior Forum would be above this.

Yep, I made the same point when the first newsletter was issued in May.

I wouldn't be surprised if that latest heading sent a large proportion of those emails straight to the spam folders.
