Why is "Find More Messages by ..." Still Broken?

Since this was mentioned some months ago, I can only conclude "Find More Messages by ..." is not broken, but current posts are being disregarded in the search on purpose.

So I'd love to hear the reasoning behind limiting "Finding More..." current posts to 2 - 3 months or so and older. Is being able to find a posters past posts being phased out?

    Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems like the forum switches between copies of the indexes, especially with the way some threads will show replies in a thread but not the OP. Also, when it fails, the most recent post date seems to be consistent.

    Paul, thanks for that information!. I gather from what you are saying is it is still broken, but rather low on the priority list to get it fixed. Maybe I just need to keep trying in the hopes that the correct information will randomly come up .

    No idea where it sits on the list. I'm just explaining what I've seen happen.

    It looks like they've got new problems, but they're intermittent. Still, it's a LOT better overall than the previous technical issues. So, moving fast in the right direction in that regard.
