Default Testing StarrBizz banner

This is a cool idea ... having a "TEST" thread! I just learned some new coding techniques!

Thanks, Warrior Forum. GT

Here is another StarrBizz banner test:

I don't know if I like the blue starburst banner better, or this one?
This one has people in it and to me, that always adds personality and draws attention.

What do YOU think? Which banner appeals to YOU more?

Here is another StarrBizz banner test:

I'm not so sure I want to use this one. There is a line on it that says,
"Wanted for crimes against society," and I'm worried that some viewers may not see the humour in it.
They may take it the wrong way. That might affect my branding attempts in a negative way.

Not to mention those who might try to actually collect the fake reward! lol

What do YOU think?

Hello, twright and lanta:

Thanks for the feedback!

@twright - Great recommendation. Testing each banner "in the field" is definitely the way to go.

@lanta - lol ... I agree! The "blog" button is a generic one that simply does not have any appeal as a stand alone banner link ot graphic. I've been slowly experimenting with graphic software on the Internet, so I'll have to go and practice making a blog banner with a little more appeal.

I don't like any of them. Way too generic. I like the starburst one the most, as a starburst relates to the Star in starrbizz, but the texture on the font (stone) looks out of place and very dated. I mean, really, it looks like a cheap graphic whipped up by that "cool" fonts/logo generator online (the name/ url escape me right now).

This is one (Home medical equipment, power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, knee braces, ankle braces) that I whipped up real quick for this local business (see the orange banner). It's simple, bright, and has the logos of all the major insurance providers they accept, so customers can immediately identify with it. It gives the viewers the benefits immediately- "Have insurance pay for your order." Who can argue with that? And because it has a bright orange scheme, with colorful logos, it stands out from the rest of the page. Admittedly, there could be some more work done, such as rounding of corners, bubbling the box (rounding the corners w/ a slight gradient to make it look like a real bubble sticker), or other things, but it works.

For really high quality banners, see some of the work that Ben Pei does ( I can send you some of the finished banners he's done for me, if you'd like).

Hey, Ryne:

Awesome feedback! Thanks. It's honest and straightforward ... and you are right – these were all created with cheap online software. (Did I mention anywhere that I'm just a beginner in using design graphics and these are my first attempts? lol )

I thoroughly enjoy exercising my creativity and if I had the time, I would choose quality software and create professional banners. However, right now, I am struggling for time, between my offline freelance writing business and my foray into online marketing.

What I'm trying to say is ... this is just the beginning! My work improves with practice, so as time goes on and as time allows, I will update this thread with new banner designs (if the thread doesn't get totally buried or forgotten - lol ).

Thanks again, Ryne. Your feedback is appreciated.

Gladly wait your new banners.
Try one more shiny, is about stars, no?
And the font of the text look better if you give him some shadow on the background.
Rgds.
