It's common knowledge, 95% of all Affiliate Marketers fail, due to unscrupulous predators operating in the industry. The majority of affiliate programs are built from the ground up, making the owner of the program outrageously rich along with a select few known as super affiliates, who appear to share the majority of wealth created. The ordinary man and woman are left to share a tiny percentage of the profits generated, having worked long hours along with investing money in the programs.
It's unfortunate, affiliate marketing is tainted with this image. Therefore it is necessary that the 95% of affiliates who form the backbone of the industry, realize that as a concerned group they can rid the industry of the unscrupulous predators, cleaning up the industry once and for all. This is easier said than done, but is not as difficult as you might think. The concept of eradicating the less than honorable affiliate marketer is in the hands of the 95% of affiliates who struggle day in, day out, hoping that today will be the day they rise to the rank of super affiliate. Unfortunately, this never happens in 95% of cases. With this in mind it is therefore necessary
People power is stronger than any other form, when it comes to making change. The tools for enabling this process to take place are being worked on at the moment. I encourage each and everyone involved in affiliate marketing to realize that change will take place when we act in numbers. I have put together a QUESTIONAIRE which will take about five minutes of your time to complete. If you are unhappy with the shortfalls in the affiliate marketing industry, now is your TIME TO ACT.

as an internet marketing coach, I can see that. Information doesn't make money (unless you sell it yourself). And the bridge between info and knowledge is doing.
Now, as a certified dyslexic I didn't read your post word by word, but I doubt that you are saying the same. My guess is that you think that good information is knowledge... hogwash. Sorry, nothing personal, just my experience in training people. What is missing, in my humble (or not so humble?) opinion is a forum where people can learn the basics, develop their sight (i.e. able to see the forest for the wood), some mindset training (if people only see dollar signs, they can't learn, they don't want to learn, they just want what they see... and that is a mirage.) so instead of trying to change the info providers, change the recipient. It takes 10 thousand hours to do any profession well. In my experience, it takes about 600-800 hours of doing the right things with the right mindset to become decent in internet marketing. None of those hours is reading. It's all doing. And of course doing new things. that train your mind to think like a marketer. |

Hi,
Nice to meet you. Thank you for your informatitive response. I totally understand what you are saying and will take it onboard. The point I am trying to make, there are so many affiliate programs out there, that lack any interest in their members. They are out to make big bucks for themselves, with very little or no scope for the unfortunate that signs up to their program. My intention, is to try and highlight these programs to make affiliates aware, it is pointless wasting their time and effort signing up to these programs to begin with. I do recognise there are many affiliates out there who are blinded by the $ sign and can't get past it. I also recognise there are many people who work their butt off, and due to the lack of knowledge to make an informed decision about legimit affiliate programs, they will continue down this path in the hope of one day achieving their dreams. I am trying to raise awareness and to encourage people to take responsibility for their situation. I believe that collecting information from the affiliates themselves and reporting on the information gathered will give people the opportunity to make a informed decision based on facts. Warmest regards, Garry |
