PHP Developer

Short version: Need a very technical PHP developer for various ongoing development projects.

We'll start off having you work on a project basis for a couple items. If everything goes well, we'll want to bring you on full time.

Like I said in the short version, you really do need to be technical. If you are more of a "I had to mess around with some PHP to get something working on my personal website" kind of coder, this isn't the job for you.

We do lots of API integration, and some make-shift API integrations (aka screen scraping). So you need to really understand HTTP conversations, cookies, headers, IPs, etc.

WordPress - this is a no brainer, right? You need to know your way around the back end, be comfortable building plug-ins, etc.

We also would love it if you had experience doing any coding related to CPanel, but I think the number of people that actually do is pretty low.

More than anything else, you have to be into coding because you love it. We're going to ask you to do a lot of crazy things. Probably most of them you've never done before. And sometimes we're going to need you to do it FAST. If you're a 9-5 type and you like easy work, this is not the job for you.

Normally I write these long and elaborate descriptions of what we want - it's late and I'm busy so you're getting off easy.

Please remember that a whole bunch of people are going to send us emails, so maybe do something to make yourself stand out. If you say "Hey I read your requirement and I can do this job. Here's my resume." then I'm going to be clicking that trash can on the toolbar.

Maybe tell me why you're awesome. Make a video? Something. We don't hire mediocre people.

In a pinch - I can let you use mine. Been doing IM for over 10 years and he is by far the best. Teaches php in college...he is that good. $35 an hour too! Just let me know.
