I need a designer to edit a Microsoft Word document into a final PDF product

"Hello,

I need a designer to edit a Microsoft Word document into a final PDF product. I've tried two more people before this so I'm going to take some precautions since both failed.

- There will be three milestones. Once you get each done, I'll release the money for that milestone.
- There will be specifications based on an existing example. It can look just like it or different, but the quality level must be the same.
- You can use whatever program you want (Adobe, Word) as long as the source file is in Microsoft Word and it can be correctly exported to Adobe PDF.

I want to work only with a native English speaker. No people from India or Asia in general.

Please provide samples of what you've done before, as in e-book designs. I do not need any cover, only to format a document in a final PDF product (and in a workable source file so I can make content tweaks in the future).

Hi Rob, your task is a bit unclear.
Do you have a word doc you want converted into a PDF format?
OR is there more to it than that.

I ask because it may be easy or hard but clarity of your task is the first thing to assess.

I'd be happy to do this but the problem I see here is you want what sounds like a nicely laid out, polished looking ebook... but also with a Word (.doc) source file. Unfortunately, these seem a bit at odds since designing nicely, for example in InDesign, would mean you'd need to edit the text in inDesign later on to make changes. Not that that's difficult, but I'm confused if you're expecting to have it laid out professionally, which likely means the use of some software other than Word, but then somehow still be able to edit it by opening it up on Word? Need a bit of clarification is all.

Hey if you only need a text pdf you can use open office which allow you to save the file as that would probably be your best option as you asking the option to edit that by yourself.
As Branlan17 the other option is using indesing which help make it look better but it would be harder for you to edit the text.
