I am looking for a qualified Adwords Copywriter to create ads for my campaigns.

You must be able to:

-Show proof of past adwords copywriting work
-Achieve and exceed (if possible) a 1% CTR in ad positions on the right side.

thanks and looking forward to speaking with you.

The best thing you can do is put yourself out there.

Dude. Most average people can break 1% on the right side in most niches. Of course it does depend on the niche. But 1% is avg to below average if you're in pos 3-6 or so.

I am not applying. Just informing you that a great copy guy would do quite a bit better. Make sure you hire the right guy. All the best

I can get you 10%+ CTR, just let me pick the keywords.

If CTR is all you care about, no problem.

If you want high-CTR ads just hit up Fiverr, get them written and load them up. You'll increase your CTR.

But I wouldn't suggest doing that.

What are you doing on the side that actually matters? What's the offer on your landing page? The relevancy? The buying intent? The USP? The guarantee? The CTA? The conversion goal? What's the LTV of a new lead/customer? How much can you spend to acquire one?

Do you want clicks or revenue?

Are you driving traffic to products or a lead-gen offer?

What are you willing to spend per click? Can you afford to go negative to improve CTR, QS and conversions? Are these new campaigns or improving existing ones?

What's the competition doing? Can you make a better offer, differentiate yourself from the 12-30+ listings (paid and organic) that you're competing with? What can you guarantee that no-one else can?

Are you segmenting mobile from desktop? Testing straight search vs. partner search? Willing to try display network or retarget leads?

Would you take a .04% CTR if it gave you a 300% ROI?

Could you pay twice as much per click if it doubled your impression share?

I know how the system works, I understand the importance of CTR. But it's further down the priority list than your landing page, your goals and many other factors.

If all you care about is CTR start with targeting 21 year old guys and this ad...

FreeBeer4All.com/DrinkTonight

Not trying to be cocky.

But if I wanted help with my campaigns, my CTR would be around #7 on the list I'd want the person to check out.

I'm only mentioning this because of a call I got today, a "Certified Adwords Partner" called me asking if I'd like a free keyword analysis on a client campaign. I sometimes take these calls just to hear the pitch, or maybe meet someone who could really help me.

I explained that this particular campaign is paused, when I came in the client was sending traffic to a bland homepage, no CTA, no conversion goals, typical rookie mistakes. So I was having the site rebuilt with relevant landing pages - and until that's finished I'm not worried about analyzing my keyword performance, because that's impossible.

He went on to tell me that his company doesn't even look at landing pages, because they're not important, it's the keywords that matter. I asked "so the landing page doesn't matter?" He replied, "not at all, keywords are everything."

I then explained that I've used Adwords daily since 2006 and I couldn't believe he'd give that kind of advice to people. He quickly hung up.

That's marketing malpractice. But if all you care about is improving CTR, not ROI, that's the kind of person you'll attract. Yes, CTR effects ROI, but it's far from the most important thing to look at.

Anyway, best of luck.

Depending on what you're trying to accomplish, I may be able to help out. Feel free to PM me a brief overview of specific goals you want to accomplish, your market and other relevant details. If I think I can help we'll talk.

Take care,

-Scott
