So does that mean writers have to be accepted into your program before you disclose what the pay rates are? And are staffers employees, or does that term have a different definition for you?

Why do you claim your company has "higher than industry standards pay rates" and yet not to disclose that information to anyone other than "staffers?"

I also find it concerning that 1. people are restricted from viewing threads on your "public forum." 2. applicants will not even be considered as a writer unless they join the forum and make seven posts of twenty five words each. They must also visit the "proving grounds" thread (which is locked to non members). Then they must post in the "hit your 7th" thread (which is also locked to non members). Seems to me that the process of becoming a "staffer" is a great way to boost your Google ranking but does little to foster any confidence in the legitimacy of your business. And speaking of legitimacy, why don't you list anything about your company other than it's owned by "Hosted Here, LLC." You don't list your physical address or even a contact person on your site. Not very confidence inspiring, IMO.

At least with Iwriter you know who you're dealing with and what you're going to be paid. With your company who knows what you're going to be paid, if at all.

The public area of the board is setup for all application test posts. You can see some areas before you are registered and the PG sub-forum after you are registered (and logged in). The portions you are unable to view after being registered and logged in would be the work areas which no user would be permitted to view before they have been fully vetted and accepted as a staffer (hence the privacy due to customer information). A staffer is a writer that works for our clients, as in "a member of a staff".

Our pay-rates on average are at least double what other competitors have offered to writers for the same time of work (this is something which has been researched over the last decade). I am sorry but we do not supply this information to non-staffers. If you wish to inquire more you would need to go through the vetting process before this information would be supplied (in detail to you before you decide if you want to take any jobs or lurk for a bit to check out everything we have to offer).

We are the longest lasting posting company out there, please feel free to research this on your own to compare our company to any other out there (we are coming up on our 10 year anniversary date). PFP is an online branch of HH LLC. We have never closed our doors to new clients or writers, we vet new writers ever day to add into the PFP family as well. We have never “taken a client’s money and ran” and we have never not paid our writers out for work, we are not the online service that just “disappears into the night”.

Contact information is listed on the website, including a live chat button that is normally used for clients only (when they have questions before ordering or are checking the progress of a current order), the phone number is also listed, as well as the "Contact" page for inquires that come in during non-business hours. The main website is for clients since it ties into the ordering process as well as the billing system, the forums are setup for writers which is linked above in the OP - maybe you are confusing the two.

Should it really take that much digging to find out who you are?

Correct me if I'm wrong here. So in order to find out what you pay I have to register, go through the hoops as I described earlier, and then, if you accept me into your program after going through said hoops you will tell me what your rates are?

Why not be up front like all the other major content providers and just let applicants know what your rates are? My time is money as is yours. Why would you waste both our time if we can't agree on a price to provide content? Do your prices for writing fluctuate for everyone?

From what I can tell an applicant has to post 7 times - that's free posting only then to be told you're not good enough. That can be eliminated through a very simple test post, but '7'?

The steps to get started are fairly simple and PFP is not a "program". You are not required to pay anything, the company does not pay you in "coins" or require you to convert those "coins" into "cash". All writers are pay in USD once a payment request comes in and their portion of any/all jobs they work are completed.

Register - we don't allow guest posts, sorry. You are applying via the test posts you submit under your account (your username).
Complete 8 total posts, the last being in the thread that lets the review team know you are ready to be reviewed.
Reviews are completed within 3 business days or 72 total hours (normally reviewed during normal business hours, minus weekends/holidays).
If you don't meet the requirements you will receive a message stating this, you can also request what exactly was wrong with your test posts so you know for future reference as you are able to re-apply at a later date.
If you do meet the requirements you are given the information to get started and how to navigate through the work community to start taking jobs.

The links you have provided are correct and again, these are the areas where you do need to be logged in to view. A registered user is easier to track than a random guest post by anyone wanting to come in and post (including spammers). The grammar thread you mention is used when someone needs to review the posts they have already submitted (after being reviewed) which have errors. This is because many people come in and skip the thread linked above within this paid ad and just post run of the mill things, including not actually reading what they post (use of slang, lack of capitals, etc.). Once you have received a proof note you can then make a few new posts to be reviewed again (a second chance to prove you can provide what the clients require).

HH started out as a single web company providing web hosting, it also branched out over the years to include web design and then finally web content. Sorry for any confusion about this but as I mentioned earlier PFP is a branch of HH, hopefully that is a bit clearer now.

Charli, if you are unable to supply within your test posts that you can follow the instructions given within the How to Apply thread chances are, no you would not be accepted. The 7 test posts are your proof showing the company that you can provide the type of content the customers want (following grammar and punctuation, replying and creating new posts to both engage an audience while contributing in your own fashion and so on). You are also showing that you can properly navigate through a forum as well, which some applicants are unable to do.

Based on your comments, I don't think this job is for you. You seem to have extreme trust issues. I'm surprised you didn't ask for a DNA sample and a fingerprint.

By the way, your post contains almost enough words to have made the 8 posts, and research time digging up whois, whatis and whyis, really?

If their vetting requirements bother you, make you uncomfortable or suspicious, you wouldn't be happy working there anyway. Come to think about it, if I were them, I wouldn't be all that thrilled having someone with your attitude come aboard either.
