Our first Warrior Ask Me Anything with Noah Kagan

We just finished our very first Warrior Ask Me Anything (WAMA) with Noah Kagan, Chief Sumo at AppSumo.com.

He answered a lot of questions and jumped on a live stream to interact directly with the Warrior Community. Thank you Noah for such a great session!

We'd love to hear your feedback on what you loved, what you think we can improve on and who you would like to see for upcoming WAMAs.

    • I was wondering if someone could help me come up with a catchy slogan for my friends tour/excursion business in Greece. She is offering clients, "Every Euro they spend with her, she gives a Euro back" that will be in the form of shopping vouchers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

    I think this is a fabulous addition to the WF. Liked that he jumped on live stream also. Made it more personal.

    How about Brian Halligan, Dharmesh Shah, Danny Sullivan, Pat Flynn? I think Matt Cutts would be an awesome one but I can see how that could turn into a big flame fest if he even agreed to do it. How about Simon Bond or Andrew Robertson at BBDO?

  • I would honestly like to see WAMAs with Matt Barrie and Alaister, for obvious reasons
  • I just like to jump in to say thanks to Noah and Alaister for the first WAMA.

    I was first not on a positive side with that idea but the WAMA from today showed me that I was wrong. Lesson learned to see first and then judge.

    This is a valuable addition to the WF, well done.

    I also had luck that the first WAMA was with whom interested me most :-)

    P.S. would be interested to know a bit more from Brad and Mat Callen (the ** ELITE guy's)
  • Noah did his best to answer all the questions, some even crazy. Funny Wama!( i have to register this one as a brand)

    He was getting a few questions per second sometimes and still tried to answer.

    Now for some upcoming wamas, yeah Mark Cuban could make this blow up but since most of us aren't 100's millionaires we couldn't really use his advice you know? ( it's like trying to get that Veyron in your garage when you don't even have the cash to pay for those freaking expensive tires)

    So Who? Billy Murphy can jump start some of us... Dane Maxwell could make us fall in love with saas...Richie Norton might help us find that idea...or MJ Demarco could switch us to the fastlane.

    When someone "just happens" to show up on a forum with endorsed celebrity status while a spam campaign's going on, something doesn't sound right.

    • Absolutely no doubt about it, you are either incredibly naive or flat out don't like Noah, so you're perpetuating nothing but hearsay. Why come on here and continue such a thing? The OP that started that thread looks to me a common average Joe making a post, then people chime in, with one of them being a MOD there.

      Reddit Mod Quote: "As it stands right now, it's hard to say anything breaking the rules happened."

      And in that same post it was noted that several posts were made both positive and negative with several posters being there a long while. And another thing, it doesn't take ballz to come on to make innuendos, but serious lack of forethought to do so against management who's been kind enough to let you be a member here.

  • This is an excellent initiative from new management over there at warriorforum, excited to see the list of people who are coming in for next WAMAs..
  • I think it was interesting, but I was a little put off by the sales pitch he made. It was supposed to be a Q&A, but part of it turned into "buy this exclusive early access split test plugin for wordpress for $100, only 5 people can get it!".

    I was worried something like this was going to happen when the WAMA concept was posted - is it going to be a platform for these people to pitch some kind of product to? If I want some "guru" hawking the latest and greatest software or ebook I just need to look at the WSO section.

  • Hi guys!!!!!!!! You'll have to excuse my question if they seem really basic.....but I'm virtually in my 6th week of doing this stuff.........and even asking questions in this forum is still quite new and....I have to say a bit daunting right now!!!!

    BUT I need to pick someone's brains.

    I started a blog 6 weeks ago....and a google+ page running in tandem with it (plus FB and twitter) .........I've had 2762 visitors to my G+......but not a squeak out of anyone in the comment boxes..........how the heck do you get folks to talk to you......been trying to drive them back to blog....optin forms etc.....but nothing.......wanting to start to build an on going relation???....but nothing........Am I on the right track.....am I think about it the right way.....am I on the wrong path.......

    Just thought it was worth asking......

  • I actually emailed Noah the other day I had read his posts about depression and was offering some advice, seen as he talks about emails and time wasters I spent about 50 minutes structuring it properly and then I got this reply.

    Rude **** and I won't be purchasing any of his courses or reading his blog ever again.

    I sub'd to his list (now unsubbed) to read his FB thing and he sounds like he is up his own backside the way he slags off the FB team, no wonder he got fired :/

    I love the idea of a WAMA but it would be nice to have them from people who don't have a huge EGO.

    I second the kelly felix suggestion. Guy is an awesome IM' but doesn't have the ego to match!
