JVZooHost Review and Walkthrough

JVZooHost.com is a new web hosting platform launched by the creators of the popular online marketplace, JVZoo. While I am accustomed to paying around $30/month for my current hosting provider, I decided to try out JVZooHost for a new site I was building to test how it would perform.

Summary
JVZooHost has impressed me beyond my initial expectations. The interface was extremely easy to navigate and I had my site installed in a matter of minutes once I pointed my domain to the JVZooHost servers. Server response times for a shared server were incredibly fast. I haven't had to worry about site crashes as my site is backed up on a daily basis thanks to their backend features. In conclusion, I would highly recommend JVZooHost if you are looking for a shared hosting alternative. With the exception of the premium-priced WP Engine, I would go as far as saying JVZooHost is the best shared hosting service I have ever used.

With that summary in mind, I will now break down my review into segments of the features I experienced, pricing, and support.

Features and Benefits

-Server Speed: JVZooHost boasts that they run their servers using Dell's PowerEdge hardware. If you're not a hardware proficienado, like myself, you have no clue what that means. But it's claimed to be incredibly "powerful and reliable".

For me, I just let the site performance be the judge. My site loaded before I could even blink. Granted, this is only with my initial theme installed and a few pages of content, but still, much better performance by a shared host than I have experience in the past. Even as I continue to load content to the site using the most basic shared hosting plan available, site speeds have held fairly strong with minimal delays.

Tip: Be sure to download a caching plugin if you are using a WordPress site like W3 Total Cache to maximize site performance and speed.

-CPanel Packed with Features: I won't go into too much detail about CPanel since this is standard practice for a shared host, but CPanel under JVZooHost came with plenty of extra features and content bundled in. Extra content included marketing tools for SEO, Google rankings, and advertising. Additionally there were extra options to optimize site speed for free using services such as CloudFlare. Standard installs of CMS platforms including WordPress took under 5 seconds to install with a button click. Not too shabby!

-Automatic Daily Backups: One thing I freaking LOVE about JVZooHost is daily backups. No more downloading additional plugins on my WordPress site to take up space and no more storing huge files to my desktop for storage. JVZHost takes care of all it with no hassle.

-Scalability: I've chosen the most basic plan, however, after giving it a shot and being thrilled with the service, I will be upgrading to the Gold plan for unlimited bandwidth, storage, domains, etc. JVZooHost makes it incredibly easy to upgrade plans and switch over. Simply submit payment/order information and your account is instantly upgraded to the appropriate settings.

24/7 Stellar Support
Support for JVZHost has been incredible for a hosting provider. They are available by live chat, support tickets, and even phone. While I have not used the phone support yet, support tickets and live chat have been incredibly responsive. Any and all questions were answered promptly, and they were more than happy to accommodate my needs. They will do anything to build a strong, steady client relationship which is something I take incredibly seriously when considering a host.

Insanely Affordable Pricing

JVZHost pricing? Can't beat it. For their basic plan, I am paying a measly $8 per month. That's less and 1/3 of the price I pay for my other host! My other host charges around $30 PER DOMAIN I have installed on my account. If I switched to the Gold option on JVZooHost today, I would be paying $20 per month. Nuts!

Pricing options for JVZHost:

Want more than a shared hosting service? Looking for a VPS or Dedicated Server?
They've got plans for each of these options as well. Check out their "Solutions" page to get a deeper look at the options available and pricing. I can't speak for these options since I have not used them, of course, but if their service is anything like the shared hosting accounts, I would highly recommend giving it a shot.

Affiliate Disclaimer: Please note that after being so thrilled with their service, I signed up as an affiliate for JVZooHost. I am disclosing that I will earn an affiliate commission for any purchases you make. Please note that I have not been given any free services or anything else by these companies in exchange for mentioning them on this site. The only consideration is in the form of affiliate commissions.
