I am currently working on the social part of the membership. Also I will be uploading products starting tomorrow depending on the rights allowed per each. I registered and was presented with a login box which I used to login. However on the main page I'm still being prompted to login.

Logged in a 2nd time from within the main page and no change - on the download page again I was informed that I needs to be logged in for a link to appear.

Interestingly the page title was "404", however it didn't seem to be a bad link - that was simply the value of the title tag. The page I'm sent to is the "register/cc-register.html" page.

I'm sure these are growing pains that will be ironed out. I really like the concept of the site, my one comment is that the text on the gallery in the upper right part of the page is hard to read due to both the color and the small font size - of course I should mention that I'm an old guy wearing glasses viewing the site on a monitor set to 1600 x 1200!

I'd be happy to continue beta testing this for you.

To everyone that has signed up to beta test the membership site I'd like to say THANKS. I see a few of you have ran into some problems registering for the beta program. I have gone through the process as you would have had to in order to find the errors. I believe that I have gotten rid of the errors. If you find any more errors please let me know so that I can get them ironed out.

Also the Page giving the 404 error was due to a misplaced page. The Page it should have went to was: Register new user If you regsiter there the download links will appear.

If you were having username and password issues simply go to the support page I will be setting up a chat application on the site.

No You havent missed out. That should say October 2, 2009. If you are having problem with registration try it now. I just ran a check on it and it should be working. There are two areas for you to register. One is for the downloads and the membership, the seond or step4 is for the Social Networking application. Im going to have to have someone merge the two together in the future.

Hostcollab thanks for this membership site! It looks like a great site. However I ran into a problem logging in. I discovered (by checking my email) that the account must be activated. I don't recall seeing anywhere during the registration process anything mentioning that. Maybe thats why people ran into problems?

After activation I tried to log in and also got the 'invalid token' error.

I'll send you a PM with my login details. Hopefully this can be sorted out. Now I know why you're running a beta test

As Beta tester I would like to tell you where I had problems if I may.

1- While registering the last step is to upload a picture. I didn't want to upload a picture just yet and I had problem to see the skip button. I think that this skip button should be much bigger because "everyday people" won't see it.

2- Once I wanted to download the products I saw that only two products can be downloaded (maybe for testing purpose)

3- The 2 first product I can download are 7z archives. I don't have any problem with 7z downloads but I guess that many people won't know how to deal with 7z files. Zip files should be the way of doing it.

Thanks Jean-Marc. I love feedback. I will look into making some changes to the things you have pointed out. Several warriors have had similar problems. I believe I got some late night tweaking to do. But, I do thank you for the feedback it is most appreciated.

As for the two products I haven't uploaded them all yet due to their resale rights stating that they cant be in a membership site for less than $47.00. So I am having to go through them all and check the restrictions. I May publish them early picking the ones I can and cant upload. I will send out an email to make sure everyone is aware of the new uploads.

As for the 7z files. I am going to place a link to the 7z site and put up some information on the file type for users that aren't familiar with it. May do two versions now that you mentioned that. Maybe a zip file and a 7z file. Leave it up to the user to decide their preference.

Are you aware you're practically breaking every license terms that there is?

Did you somehow speak to all the publishers/creators to allow you to add their products into a free membership, BETA testing or not? Some kind of secret loophole that even I don't know about?

If you're new to resell rights perhaps you should learn that licenses are there to protect the publisher/creator, customers, members and so on.

It appears to me that you've downloaded from a very well known membership, you haven't bothered to change the links or even read the license terms included.

First let me tell you a little about myself. I have read some of the resell rights not all. As I wanted to get the site up and running first of all. The reason I am using free for the first 100 sign-ups is to test out the system I used to put it together. Its more social network site than anything. I don't want to sell something that's going to crash. I wouldn't do people like that especially when money is involved. Nothing can be downloaded so I am not violating any terms as you mentioned. Second of all if you looked into it further you would have noticed that when the site goes live it will be $47.00. Or simply I just wont add products that have that limitation until It goes live.

I have been out of work for almost 8 months due to medical reasons. This is me getting off my you know what and trying to start a membership site, to pay my child support and feed my kids. Trust me if it states that it cant be added to a membership it wont make it. As for the name of the files those have already been changed. I am not copying anyones sites structure or anything.

So I guess I am saying I don't understand what the problem is being that the site isn't even live yet. If I am violating any of your terms please let me know and I will remove your files or anyones for that matter from my hard drive.

By the way you did realize that the site isnt going to be free after the 100 beta testers. Right???

I understand that, and I am all for people trying out the membership model.

What I was really trying to get at is...you seemed to have downloaded, then uploaded without even reading the license terms included, or changing the linking structure. There are a few products that you list that shouldn't be offered with any kind of resell rights, unless you spent a fair few hundred dollars to acquire those rights for your members, but from what I have seen you haven't.

You're not violating any of my terms, but the terms of the membership that you are adding these from.

Thanks for the clarification. I honestly appreciate your input. I haven't uploaded the zip files as of yet. That wont be done until Thursday and Friday. I have got a lot of reading to do (The Terms). The graphics are on the site, due to it being easier to delete them than to add them one by one. I don't multitask that way. Things are moving faster than I anticipated, I have already had 79 people register for the beta tester so it wont be free for long. Once 100 is reached the price increases. SO I guess I was looking at like this. No products, my site, I can run it free until I place the products on there as nothing is being sold for free. Right??? If I am wrong let me know.

As an example you build a site people pre-register for the site. Could I come along and say your violating something on your site. When it is nothing even uploaded to your site or server.

The graphics are merely place holders for now. Because again I am still building the site. Thanks in advance for the feedback. The site will also give credit where credit is due. I have nothing to hide behind. So I wont be creating or pushing these products as mine. The Author will get credit if credit is due. Im not running the same type of membership sites that already out there.

This a very good example of a release that wasn't ready to happen. dead links galore, no downloads, what a mess and now it's $47?? For what..dead links? From the onset, generous offer if this was legit but seems like a bad attempt at something else and a product that wasn't even ready for "beta testers".. Just my 2 cents
