Hi all,

I'm pretty sure the 942 action scripts discussed here are the same actions that have been passed around for quite some time. I know one of the original creators is Al Ward from over at: Action Fx Photoshop Resources

That guy has a ton of actions, and a lot of really cool stuff. I've been a member there a couple times now, need to sign back up since he's got a whole bunch of new stuff added.

The 942 action scripts, I came across a while back, but I question the legitimacy of how it was originally put together. Many of them may have been marked as public domain, or given away for free - but I'm not sure that Al would add his in. You will however see "action fx" on some of the scripts.

I would double check to be sure, but since it looks from the responses above that the opt-in goes nowhere, I didn't try opting in. I'm making an "educated guess" as the "942 actions scripts" name has not been changed - which is kind of an odd number to forget. ;-)

I have a feeling you might be right Michelle, which is why I asked if he created them. If he didn't create them then this wso post should be deleted since it is breaking the rules.

I will report this thread myself and let the mod sort it out.

Well, this WSO does seem poorly thought out.

When you sign up nothing happens (ie you are not directed to download anything) and you never do get the action scripts or any other sort of response (at least not so far).

Actually I bought this pack off a friend who created them, my friend no longer does online stuff but your welcome to check my profile on DP "gotlinks" same username and you can see im a perfect member there.

As to not getting the download you have to wait till I create a new post on the site as the link is in the footer of that RSS email.

I don't know of any other way to send it to you all, if you do know please do share!

Dude, next time read the WSO rules before you post. Anything you offer in a WSO has to be your own product. One that you created. Ignornce of the rules is not a valid defense. There is a rules thread stickied at the top of the WSO forum.

And to anyone who signed up for this WSO...

You signed up to an email list for free action scripts that you have no information about? How do you know they're even anything useful? Or that it's a legit WSO (looks like it isn't)?

Its legit because I bought it from a friend, I didnt read anywhere that I had to of created the product only that I own it of which I do as I purchased resale rights from my friend.

If its that big of a deal then WSO can remove the thread and refund me my money and I will gladly go on my way and remove the product from my website and put up something I create myself just as good.

The Rules:

1. All WSO's Must Be Something You Created. A Product Of Your Own. (A package of ebooks someone threw together is not considered a product and will be deleted) This is completely self explanatory and not up for debate. If you yourself did not create the product do not post it here.

That was from the rules that is a sticky at the top. Since you are unable to follow the rules, why should you get a refund?

This post is better suited for the Classified section where the product doesn't need to be of you own creation. Maybe the mod can put this post over there for you.

Hopefully, I did not see that rule can you direct me to the thread where that is because when I went to create the new topic I was presented with no rules when there are many VB mods that do that and I would have assumed the rules would be right there...

Sure people make mistakes, but we also need to pay for our actions and mistakes. It looks like you got a $20 education.

Believe me when I say that the price for listing out products is worth a ton more than what we pay. Just chalk it up to experience and try again.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and I am sure that you will become a productive member of the forum. I know that you were trying to help out by offering a package of free items that others might be able to use. I signed up and wouldn't mind seeing the actions.

Having said that, the rules are right at the top of the forum and it is always wise to check out the rules before posting. Go to the first page of the WSO's and you will see the link....

Sticky: WSO Rules - Please Read !!!!! Updated 9/3/08

It says "Please Read !!!!!" because they are important.

Hello,

This is the Warrior Forum Classified Ads My take on this is....

From the WSO Rule section
ALL Posts Going Against These Rules Will Be Moved To The Classified Ad Section Or May Even Be Deleted Entirely.

So this would let me to believe the Classified section was made for things that do not fit in the WSO section.

IE : A product your selling but did not create

The Classified Section was made for other products is what I have always thought.

If you look this section Classified does not have any rules about if it is your product or someone else's.

I think his post is OK for this section.

On the other hand gotlinks you need to have everything tested and ready to deliver your product so that is a lesson on that.

If it does not work then you need a second plan like email everyone the download link if needed till you get the one fixed, that way you don't have people ragging on you.

I think this is the best place for your ad
