SO can you tell me with so many restrictions what is the benefits really to a person running word press blogs to have VPS over some hostgator shared hosting pkg? What so special about VPS to the average person?

Why? Because we tell you upfront about things notorious for causing issues, and getting your hosting account terminated without notice at other hosts?

If you do not know the answer to that question, stick with shared hosting at Host Gator as that would obviously be the right fit for your needs.

Well it just is a fear thing really I have only known shared hosting but I see charges for add on to get cpanel and or windows not sure I understand that. I do notice of late a decent sized site of mine is loading really slow which isn't good. Are there videos or tutorials etc.. on what the addons are? What they do and I have been told you can assign acct mgr buy other people in the past instead of handing out my master WHM password to VAs??

Hi,

Some people want to pay extra for their favorite control panel they are used to. Like a DirectAdmin or a CPanel if that is what they were using at their old hosts.

Others do not care, and will go with a free one like WebMin. While others simply pay for a MANAGEMENT upgrade, and then you do not need to worry about it. If you need anything, you simply submit a support ticket and we'll handle it for you.

When it comes to hosting, it really comes down to how much you want the host to do, and how much you want to do, then balance it out with your budget. With managed web hosting, you simply send in a ticket and the rest is done by host for you.

As for passwords, we do not have them. If you lost it for example, we would have to reset it. It is not logged anywhere in the system. Same for ROOT. If you change it, you need to provide it in the support ticket.
