I'm just guessing that Jay can make a good lens faster than the average bear. If he is good at making them why not sell them to people who want one and who are time poor. He also may have already made great income from those lenses - one of them I know he did well at product launch. For example I don't generally make my own lenses. I buy them because I can do higher level work at the same time. Same for articles, transcriptions, links and other activities. If there is a market there why not? Jay gets instant cash rather than waiting for his lenses to produce over time. You could say the same for article writing, website flipping or many other services. Why don't article writers just use them for themselves? Why don't flippers keep blogs instead of turning them over? Fast Cash I am guessing. Steady , reliable, un-capped supply, ready and eager market to sell to..... | |

I couldn't have said it ANY better than James did above.. I can make lenses quicker than Steven Wagenheim writes articles... I have over 120 working for me in my niches.. and the extra ones I started doing as a gift to my subscribers.. I found that people are willing to pay for lenses that perform well.. so any excess ones that I make for myself, I sell... Peace Jay |

First of all, I want to say that I have no intention of derailing this thread Jay. I'm just curious as to how one would go about transferring the ownership of a lens. I really wasn't aware that people are willing to pay for a Squidoo lens and now that I know I'm very interested in selling a few of mine. Thanks |

Transferring a lens is as easy as clicking a button (or a link). The lens OWNER will log into their Squidoo Dashboard, and click the Transfer A Lens LINK that resides towards the bottom of the left sidebar. Then it's just a simple matter of filling in the NEW OWNER'S Squidoo account ID and submitting the transfer. Of course, the person the lens is being transferred to needs to have a Squidoo account. Its free, and quick to sign up if they don't have one already. They will then be NOTIFIED to either accept or deny the lens transfer. That's it. Easy Breezy! Deb |
